AFTER .. I chopped it myself.

because the strands are so long. I was so sick of hair EVERYWHERE I chopped it into a A-Line Bob. I know its not gonna slow the process down but it ain't gonna be as much hair. Plus ponytail and weak hair roots make things even worse.
New body.. new hair.. and a whole new tude to go with it. LOL

npalmer28 got a reaction from MissNikki27 in Hubby admits he doesn't want me to have the surgery :-(
I haven't had that issue but sometimes I feel like my husband is jealous. He asks for reassurance that I'm not gonna start being wild and leave him. He constantly telling me of others experience and how there relationships failed because their spouse had weight loss surgery.
As far as your excess skin goes, your current size, race and age places a factor. There is no guarantee that you're gonna have a lot of excess skin.
That's the number one thing people say to me. My surgeon has told me I will have very little if any excess skin. So that what I tell them. Unless they are a doctor or have to walk in my unhealthy shoes, I tell them to keep their comments to themselves.

Ms Diva you look amazing. I love the fact that your body appears to be losing in all areas at the same time.
My shoe size went down from a 9/9.5 to a 8/8.5 ... I had to purge all my shoes.
I'm having a hard time shopping too. I started out in a 3x and now I'm rocking a Med/Lg and 12/14. I've had a ball closet jumping in my 21 and 10 year old girls closet. They got the nerve to get mad... But I buy everything. LOL

npalmer28 reacted to kristlynngirl in Just Had My 1st Appointment
Hi all. Just had my first meeting with the surgeon on Wednesday and now I'm so confused. I originally went in thinking I wanted a band and not a bypass. However, now I'm leaning towards the bypass....and all the research I've done has been for the band!
They explained the average success rates with both surgeries, and my head started spinning I think. If I'm going to have major surgery, I want to give myself the best chance at success.
My insurance will pay for either, and they said I don't have to make a final decision until I schedule my surgery.
I'm going to be 29 in February. They said I have 132 pounds to lose, but the goal in my head was 100. I have no diabetes, hypertension or high cholesterol but I do have sleep apnea and some quality of life issues.
Anyone else go thru thinking they wanted one then thinking they wanted another?

My name is Natalie Palmer, I'm new to this forum. I thought it would be great to get involved and know what to expect and how others are feeling. I
am currently in my six month, I have one dietician meeting and 2 more group sessions this month. My surgery will be end if June or beginning of July depending on my surgeons schedule.
I'm hoping it will be in June. I currently weigh 270lbs, my goal is to lose around 125lbs.
