  1. 5 weeks out. Never hungry, never full. I kind of wanted to feel stuffed after a few bites. Not feeling full makes my head want just one more bite....
  2. I got a Bento lunchbox recommended by the Eggface blog. I love it! I took it to work today and had deli ham, a cheese stick, and horseradish mustard for lunch. Later in the day I had a mini babybel light cheese, apple slices (peeled) and Greek yogurt. For dinner I had an "egg-chilada." This was egg beaters cooked to be the shape of a corn tortilla, filled with shredded cheese and red enchilada sauce. Rolled and topped with more sauce and cheese then microwaved to melt. Weird but pretty good. 83 g protein day!
  3. Today I had to button my work slacks with a safety pin because they were falling off!
  4. My NUT doesn't count Protein Shakes towards the liquids. Sucks.
  5. Hi All! I had RNY on June 3rd, so I'm one month post op and 27 pounds down counting pre op diet loss. I was on 500 mg Metformin once daily for insulin resistance before surgery, but decided to stop it myself because I was worried about low blood sugar. My surgeon didn't tell me to get off and I see my GP in 3 weeks. I'm wondering if I should go back on? I'm reading about faster losses with Metformin. Any experiences to share?
  6. I'm 3 weeks out and it's the same with me. I can eat anything and not get sick, and I don't feel full. I measure so I don't overeat and follow all the rules.
  7. Me too how do we fix this??
  8. I wish I could track water in ounces instead of cups too. I also wish it would total up protein.
  9. Veggie burger--black bean, red salsa, and a side of spinach. It was good. I'm blessed that my pouch has accepted everything I've tried so far. I still don't feel full at all after 3 weeks post op, so I'm measuring to avoid overeating.
  10. I always loved bananas. Now I'm not so sure. I always hated fish, and now I'm craving tilapia. Weird.
  11. I hear you. Me too.
  12. 3 weeks out of surgery. My first week I was losing 2 pounds a day. I'm in a 1.5 week stall. I only get in 600-800 cals per day. Somebody talk to me!
  13. My doc set my goal at 168 pounds. I'm 5 foot 1. I don't want to still be obese!
  14. Where can I buy skim milk in the little containers like we get at the school cafeteria? This would help in mixing shakes while at work.
  15. I'm RNY 2.5 weeks out. My NUT says 800-1000 calories a day, 1200 if I work out. 75 g protein, 64 oz fluid, 3 meals of 2-3 oz, no snacks. I eat the right amount and can't seem to exceed 600 calories with such tiny portions. I'm grossed out by protein drinks right now, so I'm only getting in about 50g protein per day. Fluids I average about 50 oz. I can't seem to do more unless my lips are on a drinking cup 24/7. How is it even mathematically possible to take in my requirements?
  16. I feel like I can eat too much too. No concept of fullness yet at 2.5 weeks out. I'm listening to my body and its not saying much yet. Still can't get all the water or protein in but it's getting better. Today I felt like I ate all day and made it to just 700 calories.
  17. It's hard my first day back at work today. All my co-workers were feasting on BBQ ribs and all the trimmings. I had to keep smelling it. I ate 3oz of meatloaf and mashed potatoes by myself in the car--had to leave the situation. 2 weeks out and feeling lonely and overwhelmed.
  18. Meatloaf and mashed potatoes with gravy. I'm 3 weeks out and can't tell when I'm full yet. Is this normal? Nothing has made me throw up yet, and I eat just a bit very slowly.
  19. Surgery 6/3. Yesterday I felt great. Today I'm dizzy, bloated, and gassy again. Going to rest. I'll try to up my water and protein but its so hard--I have no desire to consume anything. Overall I'm doing well though, the worst is behind me. I'm going back to work on Tuesday.
  20. All I can do for you, friend, is pray. I'm surrounding you with God's love and hoping that you feel it.
