  1. Today: bought size 18 jeans, size xl sweatpants from the regular side, and last night I took a bath for the first time in forever. I measured my hips and I've lost 20 inches.
  2. I just realized today that I no longer hate my body. RNY 6/3, 65 pounds down. Now that's something.
  3. 4 mini turkey meatballs, covered with roasted garlic marinara sauce and Parmesan cheese. Yummy!
  4. Fellow Junies-- I need advice. I'm battling serious head hunger lately. It feels like I'm ravenous, sometimes right after eating. I'm getting all my protein and doing well otherwise. Help!
  5. RNY June 3rd and 60 pounds down. For the past 3 days I've had strong head hunger--I feel like I need to eat every 2 hours. Almost insatiable. I'm getting tons of protein. What's going on?
  6. RNY June 3rd. Down 47 pounds. Here's my before and current pics, before is on the right.
  7. I'm scared of hair loss too...if stress is a factor I'm more than screwed. My mother is dying of cancer (hospice starts this week), I'm moving, and changing jobs. And that's just in the next month.
  8. Boca vegetarian chicken patty, topped with colby jack cheese, refried beans, and chipotle salsa. 20+ g protein!
  9. I'm exactly where you are. 9 weeks and 38 down. My clothes are loose but not enough to buy yet. I'm afraid of feeling crushed when I haven't dropped in sizes much.
  10. It will end. I'm 2 months post op, and I started that way right up until a week ago. This week, something changed and I'm feeling full quickly and my intake has dropped quite a bit. Nothing is wrong, it's just part of healing. I had to measure everything since I didn't feel full.
  11. Flat Out flatbread pizza! 1/2 a whole grain flatbread, pizza sauce, mozzarella, turkey pepperoni. Broiled until crispy. It was delicious.
  12. Just wanted to share-- I had RNY June 3rd. My post op appointment with my regular doc was today. My cholesterol dropped 65 points, and my A1C shows that I'm no longer pre-diabetic!
  13. Wasabi with soy sauce are great too!
  14. Today: Went on a plane and the seat belt fit! The armrest went down! I didn't walk sideways down the aisle! I walked almost a mile on the treadmill at a good pace, and I'm finding my fitness level is rising steadily. Good day! I'd like more MFP friends--add me I'm TXGlambert.
  15. I teach teachers! I taught high school science then transitioned to doing teacher staff development.
  16. I'm six weeks out and had a bad day at work. The family had food from Sonic and I had one bite of a grilled cheese and one bite of a corn dog. I really started to feel sadness creep in that my old comfort buddy is gone. Am I normal or failing?
  17. I thought about it for YEARS. I'm 41 and started almost 300 lbs too. I'm 6 weeks post op and am doing fine. The hardest part was saying I'm doing it. After that it falls into place. I had RNY.
  18. I'm 5 weeks out from RNY and have been doing well. So far I've tolerated all foods well, and only dumped once from drinking while eating. I'm 30 pounds down. A few days ago I started constantly belching and passing horrible gas, almost like how I felt post op. No food changes I can think of. I'm also chronically constipated. Any ideas what the belching means? Is something going wrong?
  19. It's ok. I'm 5 weeks out too. My nut says 800-1000 calories a day, upping it to 1200 on exercise days. You're doing fine, relax. Lower than that you'll hit starvation mode. Are you tracking with MyFitness Pal?
  20. 5 weeks out and I stalled at 2 weeks post op. The stall lasted for 2 weeks. It was very frustrating, but it did end.
  21. I got the lunch bag too. It's perfect.
