  1. I had RNY on June 3, and am 10 days post op. I gad a rough time of it but am feeling stronger daily. As I type this, I'm sitting here after midnight unable to sleep. My legs are so restless I have to move them constantly or go nuts. I'm not even tired after Tylenol PM. I never has restless legs before but my mom does. Have any of you connected WLS with restless legs syndrome?
  2. Thanks. Today was better. I got a variety of cream soups and tried different shakes. I also got all vitamins and supplements in. Praying that each day makes me feel more normal. I'm not in pain anymore, I just feel 'off' in my head, dizzy, and weak most of all. Losing a pound a day.
  3. Sparklette, Tell me it gets better. One week post op. Tired, dizzy, zero energy, in full ketosis, sleep a lot, bloated, heavy stomach, no desire to eat or drink. I feel averse to food, no hunger or head hunger at all. I force fluids and shakes, but haven't met my goals because I just can't yet. Everything tastes terrible because of this ugly taste in my mouth. I burp constantly and the gas keeps building right back up. Low grade fever. I went back to doc he says all is well. This isn't living right now. Give me some hope to shoot for, please.
  4. I'm 5 days post op too and feel every single thing you're feeling and more. Today is a miserable day. All the gas built back up again, diarrhea, and a white tongue too. I just want to stay in bed. I have had about 24 oz fluid so far, definitely won't make 64 today. I also have zero help and have to manage housework.
  5. Thanks for the good wishes. I go in tomorrow. My Mom is a cancer patient with incurable disease and is worried sick, I just spent 40 minutes on the phone with her reassuring her that i'll be ok. She's insistent on 'being the Mom' for me but she is so ill she needs to be in the hospital herself. Also, my cousin goes in for a c-section tomorrow. Prayers for my whole family are appreciated!
  6. Awesome! You're an inspiration to me on this board. My surgery is Monday.
  7. I won't miss... Not being able to play on the floor with my niece. Getting winded after 2 stairs. Traveling a lot for work and worrying about every stinking part of every trip. Being able to shop at one store in my entire city for clothes. Freaking out over 'who's driving' because if the lady with the truck volunteers, I can't get my fat ass into it. Therefore, I drive all the time. Getting the mail only once a week because its a pain to walk to the mailbox down the street. Dreading the 'table or booth?' question and answering for the whole party so no one says booth first. I could go on for hours.
  8. I always wanted a peacoat and boots. My calves were always too huge for boots though. Maybe soon!
  9. Thank for the idea just ordered the unjury soup.
  10. This is reassuring! From other posts I'm expecting a life of nausea, vomiting, misery, complications, and overall torment. My surgery is June 3rd.
  11. I hear you. I'll probably get called for my interview during my 2 weeks off. Very big job. I hope I don't answer questions in a drug induced state!
  12. The sleeve will make your reflux worse. My doctor ruled it out for me because of that.
  13. I researched DS too and asked about it. My BMI is 55. My surgeon won't even do them because of the rampant lifelong nutritional deficiencies.
  14. You are the lucky one. It sucks.
  15. I'm on liquid diet day 2. Hungry, grumpy, angry. Big work stress and my Mom is in the hospital with pneumonia. I want to eat so badly. Someone encourage me!
  16. June 3 surgery I start the liquid diet tomorrow. I hope I find the strength to make it through.
  17. They told me the carbonation stretches the pouch. Don't know if I buy that, but I want to get off diet cokes anyway.
  18. June 3rd for me!
  19. Hi Everyone! I'm new here. My last doc appt to be cleared for surgery is on 4/22. No date yet, but it's looking like early June. I'm getting nervous, it comes over me like a wave. I know it's right, though. 32 years of fighting fat. I'm ready!
