  1. I had my band put on Aug. 13. My first fill is Sept. 13th...I cannot wait! I am at thestage where I can eat pretty much anything. I am sure things will be different after the fill but I will still have to eat. I travel a lot with my job and I just get really hungry on the road. I never know what to eat. I need some guidance from those of you who work on the road. I also find it so hard to not drink a 1/2 hour before or 1 hour after. If anyone has any suggestions that can help me I would greatly appreciate it.
  2. Hi I hope you are feeling good. I had my surgery August 13th and I have to tell you I had the same problem as you. It is terrible. I am still having issues. I spoke with my doctor and he told me more than likely it is from the anesthtic. I am sorry this is happening to you. I wore glasses to read before now I need them all the time. It is very discouraging. Hopefully with time our eye sight will get better. Take Care.
  3. I had surgery on Monday August 13. I feel pretty good a little tired and blurry vision. Not sure what that is all about-scarey. But I occassionally feel something "pop" or maybe "kick"on my left side. If I put my middle finger on my belly button and lay my hand down the feeling is about where the palm of my hand is. Also, I feel uncomfortable when I sit for a while. I get achy in my back area. Any input will be appreciated.
  4. I am so excited about getting the band tomorrow. However, I totally messed up. I did not realize I was suppose to be on liquids yesterday. I ate some okra and drank protein drinks. Is this going to really mess me up? Today I am all about the liquids. :help:
  5. I just press the semi colon and the parentases (sp) and it comes up
  6. :hungry:My lap band surgery is August 13. I was suppose to start my pre-op diet Monday and I was traveling back from Fla. I ate lunch and nothing else. Tuesday I did my admitting (upper Gi, EKG etc). When I left at 2:00 I was so hungry I stopped and got a huge salad. Today I drank my protein drink and I want SOMETHING to eat. I am suppose to have 2 protein drinks and 1 Healthy Choice. Can I eat celery, carrrots, tuna to get me through? Please help me.:help:
  7. Dr. Spaw at Baptist. HI NEIGHBOR:) How aer you doing since your surery. I am so worried about the diets before and after. I will take any advice you can give.
  8. :help: What did I do wrong? I put my introduction in last night. It is like no other...it has an envelope with an arrow pointing down. Can I change it and make it to where others can give me feed back. Thanks in advance.
  9. I am sooooo proud of you. You look incredible!!! I have my surgery Aug. 13. Pray fo me...I am so scared.
  10. Hello To All, I just found this chat room today and I am even more ecited now!!! I am scheduled for my lap band surgery on August 13 in Nashville. I am a mother of twins a girl and a boy and a wife for 22 years. I am very excited about my surgery and cannot wait to look good and feel great again:clap2:. However, I so very scared. I had a near death experience giving birth and am so afraid of surgery and everything that goes with it. I know it is the best thing I will ever do for MYSELF. I believe my biggest fears are the pre-op diet, coming home and not knowing how I will feel (the unexpected), and when I can eat WHAT should I eat:help:. I would like some advice because we leave for vacation and when I come back I start my 2 week pre-op diet. My intensions are to go and have a great time and try to enjoy my very plump:( self for the last time on the beach. Because next year look out here I come:D....Is this a mistake? Do I need to handle it differently:p? Thanks to everyone for being so understanding and honest.
