    Juices?

I'm not having TOO bad a problem getting my protein in (I do shots when I'm struggling) but sometimes I really have to fight to get my calories in. I'm just about 3 months post-op and seem to go thru 3 and 4 day stretches when I just don't want to eat anything but obviously don't like feeling hungry. So any ideas for good juicing recipes? High protein would be great but just plain ol' healthy would be great, too! I really can't seem to get enough veggies. So let's hear your ideas!!! Thanks!

    Scars

"Moderna" lol. It's been a long day! Yeah, I hadn't really thought of Neosporin. I guess it's to be expected that they're still red 2 months out but I didn't know if it was too late to start the process. Thank you!!!!
  3. Hey everyone! I'm a little over 2-months post op and am wondering about scars (prob should have wondered earlier, lol)! I had my gallbladder out a couple of years ago and I find the visible scar to be similar to the ones I have post RNY and that one healed pretty well. I don't remember how long it took for the "red, angry" look of my gallbladder scar to go away but my RNY scars still look pretty GRRRRR! , not to mention the one from my JP drain. Is it too late to try something like Moderna (sp?) or Vitamin e caplets? I don't want to spend money on Moderna bc I hear it's pretty expensive if it's too late to help I appreciate your opinions!!!

    Stomach virus

    Thank you!!!!
  5. Well, I've apparently caught the stomach bug that's been going around my house. I should have called my surgeon's office but I was pretty out of it all day. I had my bypass May 9. I can't keep any solids down and it seems all I can do is sip on water so I'm worried about keeping hydrated. Can I do a drink like Gatorade or is that too sugary? Any other advice on how to stay hydrated? Thanks!
  6. Do you count from your pre-surgery (last surgeon check-in pre-op) weight or once you came home post-op?
  7. That could really be it, thank you! I guess I've gotten cocky lately and have "eyeballed" my portions instead of weighing them. I'll try going back to the tried and true and see what happens!
  8. I'm 4 weeks out from RNY and I've noticed that almost every time I eat, I become nauseas almost immediately. I feel like I'm eating slowly enough but I'm sure I could work on that. Some things, especially meat, comes right back up so I'm wondering if it is an eating-too-fast thing. (The weird thing is that the throwing up isn't all that bad. It just kind of comes back up). Any ideas?
  9. My RNY was May 9 and I lost 23 lbs pretty fast. I'll admit I haven't started working out since this week and I haven't been great with my water intake until this week but I'm telling you: the scale will not MOVE!!!! I know about stalls but this soon after surgery? I'm 4 weeks out...isn't that soon????
