NSVs I've noticed lately: (1) I now have a lap! (2) I no longer have to avoid booths! (3) I can cross my legs without using my hands! (4) I'm off ALL prescription meds! (5) I enjoy shopping again! I want to plan a girls weekend shopping trip! (6) I fit comfortably into movie theater seats! (7) I'm not always the biggest person in the room!

I got on the scale when I got home (3 days post) and had gained 8 pounds...totally normal from all the fluid...give it a week:)

The surgery is just a tool...you have to make the choices...I am two weeks out and I can not have meatloaf until week 6...I am also limited to 1/4 cup of food...High Protein and low sugar/carb. Your meal looks a bit large- maybe try cutting down your portions and eat more protein and less carbs.

I had surgery yesterday and feel great! Walked around 3 times last night...a little pain on my left side.

Disclaimer- although most people around me know that I'm having surgery, if I ever go back to my hometown to visit (high school reunion, etc). I will not be sharing:). They can just think I was one of the lucky ones who aged well

Surgery was yesterday and I feel great! A little pain on the left, but otherwise I am great. I got up and walked 3 times last night.
