    I had my RNY March 26, 2013. I started at 244. Today I weighed in at 211. I have 67 lbs to go to reach my goal weight.

    I am now 100lbs down! July 5th will be my one yr post op. feeling great! Loving life! And have recently found out I am pregnant!! Big surprise lol. Good luck to you all!

    I'm 14 days post OP. My loss has been super slow also. In 4 days I've lost .4! I totally understand how you are feeling. It would be so much easier to be having nothing but puréed food and Protein shakes if I would see the scale moving! It's hard to hear about people losing large amounts of weight and mine is barely inching along. I'm no where near giving up though! I hope I did this right! I just now joined this app! I have no idea how to use it! I'm having a hard time learning how to post questions or comments!

    I'm almost 6 months post op on the 17th and I have lost 97 lbs total and 87 since surgery.

    Sometimes as we go further along in the process we think we are experts... Some of the posts I see sometimes need to come with the following disclaimer... Please follow your doctors orders. I am not a medical expert. Please please please remember we all just share our own stories and experience. But your doctor is the best place to go when requiring any medical advice!!!!

    Yes Protein....Dang phone! I use Premier Protein...30 G protein, 8 g sugar. I buy them at Sam's Club. Turkey Jerky is good too, of course right after surgery you can't have that.

    I am in the same boat!! Only 31 lbs in 8 weeks! It's like I loose a pound then nothing for over a week.... I just want to take a knife and cut the fat off since its obviously not going anywhere!!!' Urggg!!!!

    I'm a very slow loser too I started out at 216 and now 163 13 months post op. I have my yearly check up next week and I am going to see what my surgeon says. I am very thankful for the weight I lost but I was thinking I was going to be like 140 after a year. I can no longer eat the quantity of food that I once did which is awesome and I get full really quick so some aspects of the surgery are working. I follow the diet plan, run/jog 4-5 miles daily -- this is so strange. There should be a slow losers group here!

    I see my dr Friday. I'm sure she will just tell me to get more Protein and its normal. I don't know how this is normal. My starting weight was 244. As of today I was 224.6. I've never gone lower. Up one or two from there but not down. What weight did you start at?

    I am 29 and has the surgery in September of last year when I was 28....I have lost 117.8lbs and so far my skin is going back to normal. But now is the tough part, building muscle to keep the skin tight and lots of exercise. I still have a little over 80 more lbs to lose. But I can tell you this surgery is worth it. It changed my life and my health.

    Hey! I'm 25 and I just started my journey. I go for my first seminar tomorrow. This is my second time trying this out I began the process last time but with school I decided to weight. Now I'm finished with school and I couldn't be more excited to get this started! I'm hoping to have surgery this summer and could use all the support available.

    The picture on the left was taken a year ago at my highest weight ever. Picture on the right was taken this week with a total of 75 pounds lost! Still have a long way to go but i am so happy!

    My week three was like that too but I just kept focusing on my Protein intake and the weight started coming off again. Each time I got to a new phase of food, from liquids to solids, I hit a little plateau. Don't feel discouraged. Just stick with it and it will pass.
