    January 2013 Post Op

My Dr told me it happens to a few people. I had my surgery 2weeks ago today and I still feel like that. I kinda woke up from my surgery feeling that way. It's a little better though. I don't know if its actually subsiding or if its my sisters being such a wonderful support group for me. But hang in there- we both have to! And I don't think it's such a bad idea to reach out to a counselor either, it's what I'm planning to do. If you need someone to talk to let me know.

I have no energy for life's demands now :-( If I went back right now I'd have to juggle-- (3) 12hr shifts, my 3 kids, cooking, a husband and getting my son to baseball practice. I am not ready.

    January Dates

Hello all! I'm new to this thread. My surgery date is January 15th!! ???????? I started my pre-op diet yesterday however it seems to be much different than what most ppl have to do. I'm to have a Protein shake for Breakfast and lunch , all the green veggies I want and a sensible dinner (which gives me the option of a lean protein with a salad or a healthy choice, WW or lean cuisine meal).
  6. Thanks everyone! I look forward to having your support!
  7. Hello, I'm new here and so glad I've found rnytalk! Surgery has been my goal for the past 6 months and now that everything's a "GO!" I'm so anxious and afraid. I feel like my concerns may be a bit invalid/vain however I still feel this way. But I figure this will be the place to help me through-- 1. What do I tell my coworkers about my "mysterious" weight loss? I shouldn't be ashamed about the surgery but my weight has ALWAYS be an embarrassing subject for me!! 2. How do I not have/reduce the issue of excess skin as I work toward my goal weigh? My heart is beating fast as I type cause I'm so scared. I feel like I can't admit my fears because my support people will be like "well, don't have the surgery then!" But they don't really understand what this is like for me :-( I have a few other concerns but these are the most pressing issues right now.
