  1. So I know its not technically a "shake" but have any of you tried the Unjury chicken soup flavor? I tried it for the first time today, and OMG YUM! So glad I like it. I have a feeling I'm going to live off this stuff post-op.
  2. Hey everyone! I started blogging about a month ago and I really love it! It makes me feel so much better about everything that is going on. It also helps me clear my head and reading other people's blogs that are going through the same thing motivates me. Lets share our blogs and support eachother! Mine is in my signature.
  3. This is amazing! My husband and I are planning a vacation for next april, which will be a little over a year after my surgery. I can't explain how excited I am to be there, and hopefully wearing a normal size, and maybe a bathing suit?? haha.
  4. Thanks guys. I've been doing a little better. I'm still not where I need to be, but atlest the weight gain has stopped.
  5. Thank you! That's really nice to hear!
  6. Wow. I can't wait to have this problem! lol. Good for you guys!
  7. I've been discouraged the last few days because I'm having a hard time losing the last 10 lbs before surgery. Tonight I totally pigged out on taco bell. I'm so disappointed in myself and feel like I'm going to fail at surgery if I can't even stay away from fast food for 1 whole month. :/ I have a serious food problem.
  8. yum! that sounds really good. has anyone tried this?
  9. People are so insensitive. Thanks for helping me Decide to keep it to myself. Lol
  10. I have the implanon and love it. I was way too afraid hearing the horror stories of mirena so I got this. I have had lots of spotting but I've had t 6 months now and I'm back to regular periods.
  11. Thanks for sharing your experience. I feel the same way about not wanting to tell everyone until overseen significant results. I think the thing I am most afraid of is people saying I took the easy way out. My cousin just lost 100 lb without Wls so I'm afraid I will constantly be compare to her.
  12. I'm wondering if any of you have kept your surgery a secret. Obviously my husband, best friend, and immediate family know, but I am not sure yet wether I want others to know. I've seen so much negativity from people about other people I know that have had surgery that I'm not sure if I want to put myself through it. On the other hand, if I keep it a secret, will that make people angry or make me look like a liar? Im So conflicted!
  13. So I started my antibiotics for the H-Pylori today and there's 3 different pills I have to take twice daily. The pharmacist said that I need to eat something the equivelant to 3 slices of bread with my pills or else they won't be absorbed and I will throw up. I ate a granola bar and some greek yogurt and still felt a little queasy. So I ate a peice of french bread. I was doing so well on my diet and losing weight before surgery and I feel like now I don't know what to do. Does anybody have any ideas or has anyone been through this? :/
  14. Yeah that's what she said. 2 weeks of antibiotics and a test 4 weeks after that. So basically its going to set me back 2 months. Does it ever come back? What caused yours?

  16. So I just got my blood test results back and they found H Pylori. Has anyone else had this happen? They said its ok and they will just treat it with antibiotics but I'm kinda freaking out. :/
  17. This is good to know! I'm still pre-op but every night this week I have nightmares about forgetting I had surgery and eating too much or stretching it out. So weird!
  18. weird! I did really well on it! It's just hard.
  19. My Doctor doesn't do the sleeve much because she said that there's always a risk because they take out the peice of your stomach thats not being used. With RNY they leave it, so if it's ever needed for anything, its there. Also, the stats are better for rny.
  20. Ooh a vlog! I'm too shy to do one of those! Cool. I'll follow you
  21. I always do really well eating high protein low carb. Its hard because the first 2 weeks my cravings are through the roof, after that they die down and I don't really even think about carbs anymore. Its strange. You can do this!
  22. I had an Puls Ox machine that strapped on my wrist like a watch and went on my finger. They sent it home with me and I took it back that next morning. If that comes back normal, I won't have to do an in center sleep study. If it comes back abnormally, then they will want me to come in for a full sleep study.
