Good Luck everyone today!!!! Steph great job on keeping up with the list Welcome all new Nov. Bandsters! Longhorn, Sweetpea (mini pin)is 11ys old and in VERY bad shape, so she is not long for this world. Amber(mini Pin) is 10yrs old, Bailey (Mastiff) is going to be 4 in March shes light for her breed and only weighs 170. Her brothers and sisters are all 195-230. Peanut 8 lbs(mini Dachsund) 17 months, and Jelly 12 lbs(mini dachsund) 11 months old tomorrow. Peanut and Jelly are my BABIES! They both have bad eyes but you would never know it. They make me smile everyday! I wanted my husband to build me a wooden box to fit over my belly LOL to keep them from steping on it. I will give the pillow a shot. Virtual buddies will be fine with me!:hug: Had my weigh in at the Dr today I lost 43 pounds since Aug. 9th not too bad! I am out of the 60's for my BMI!:whoo: Best wishes all!

Longhorn ok this is just getting crazy! I have 5 dogs too! Actually 7 live here 2 of them belong to our daughter. I would LOVE to come home the same day! I can't stand the thought of not being home with my hubby and "babies". We have 2 mini pins 2 mini dachshunds and 1 English Mastiff. My daughters 2 are also Mini Dachshunds. We flew last Feb to San Antonio to pick up our new baby Dachshund. I am worried about how to keep them from jumping on my belly when I am sitting down. The two dachsunds also sleep with us

Wonderful Longhorn! I was thinking about you today! I can't believe you got to go home the same day! I have to stay over night and get to leave the next day after 3:00pm. My husband went out and bought me a recliner and put it in the bedroom next to his side of the bed. He said he wants to make sure I am right next to him. He's so sweet! We do everything together, our 30th anniversary is in Jan! He wanted to go away but I want to wait until I lose some of this weight! Anyway I am SOOOOO glad to hear you are doing well! Are you on clear fluids? Keep in touch! And keep feeling GREAT! I really needed to hear some good stuff. Getting close and I am getting very nervous. So thanks for the great news! TTYS

LOL cQQlgirl! Very funny Yes I put on a swim suit but it has a skirt AND most important I wear a pair of capris, well knee lenght pants with it. So the skirt hangs over the top of the pants to hide my "Sheila" as I call it. (my saggy lower belly like a kangaroo lmao!). And the pants hide my huge thighs! So yes I wear a suit with pants and swim that way too. I have not been to the Caribbean in 4 years. We went on a cruise for our 25th wedding anniversary. In Jan it will be our 30th! I didn't want to go anywhere until maybe next year when some of this weight will be GONE! Have a wonderful time! Wow vacation 17 days after surgery. You go girl!

WTG Tralynn222! how did you lose 87 pounds already!? I have lost 38 since Aug. by going on a liquid diet. My BMI was too haigh and they didn't want to operate on me unless I was under a BMI of 60. I finally made and get banded on Tuesday. Good Luck to you!

WTG Cherlita! Thats wonderful, its funny that is one thing I was not worried about for some reason. I also have UHC and I heard they are very good about it. Jelbel I get banded next tuesday! WTG Karen and Janet! Glad to hear you are both doing well! Janet, I bought baby food fruits and the DR told me to puree eggs, shrimp, tuna or chicken with a lil low fat mayo like egg salad and try that. To me it sounds like a good thing to try. I am to be banded next tuesday, so of course I have no idea about this stuff for real yet. I bet Amy (renewdhope) can help you out there! Amy how are you feeling? Hi Jenny, Wow you have seen more here in the states then I have! Someday when I get move around easily I would love to do a road trip across country. First need to lose this weight then need to have both knees replaced...THEN I will be able to do that. We have been to CA a few times and pretty much everywhere on the east coast. When we do travel far we LOVE the Caribbean, I just love to snorkel. We would also love to visit Australia, but sorry that Steve Irwin is gone. I would have LOVED to see him! Do you measure what you eat? Do you know about how many ounces you are able to eat? I have been told that at most I will be able to eat is 3 oz. per meal if I am lucky. I am going to stick to that even if I feel I can eat more. I figure if I put myself through all this then I better stick to it and lose a LOT of weight! Good Luck Shad! Mine is the day before and it still doesn't seem real. Even with all the pre-op stuff done it just doesn't seem like it is really going to happen. I have been thinking about it for years, and made my first call to the surgeon in June. I was not able to get my first appointment with him until Aug. 8th. And then it began, and here I am one week away. I hope time does go fast I just want to get it over with now. My nerves are kicking in every now and again and it I just to be past this part! WOW where did everyone go!? This thread got way to quiet! How are all the newly banders doing? I go a week from tomorrow and it can't come fast enough. I just want it to be over with! I went to the dentist today and she said my gums were bleeding a lot. She said it could be due to stress, LOL :boink: I said yeah I am under a little stress and told her about my surgery. It is not the surgery or the pain that I am worried about, it's the waking up from the anesthesia. After the problem I had when they did my endoscopy I am a bit worried. Anyway please everyon check in and Longhorn Hi again! how are you doing this week? Only a few more days for you! How did your pre-op stuff go today?

This has been a VERY quiet thread no one really chats they just post their surgery dates. I am always looking for someone to chat with. To me this is a big deal and it took me a lot to get here. Hi Rhea and Longhorn I am having my surgery Nov. 6th. You guys will be banded pros by then;) I have been on the liquid diet since Aug 9th because my BMI was in the Danger zone for surgery. They don't like it 60 or above so I had to lose weight to get the surgery. Things I have bought to get ready A heating pad- have heard its VERY handy! OMG I was so worried I would not ever be able to get on to this sight! I have been trying to get on for over 2 days now and it kept saying the sight was not found! Thank God it's back!! As I posted earlier I lost 10 more pounds...and to Celebrate I ate VERY BAD for 3 days in a row! OMG I am so mad at myself but today is a new day. Amy, wow you went out to Walmart already! Holy cow! God Bless you! I am so happy to hear that you are doing well! Karen how are you doing? Three more nights to go, any plans for the weekend? I had my pre-op visit yesterday. It took 5 hours! 2 hours of the 5 were in a class about every step we will go through from the moment we get to the hospital till the moment we leave. It really was very informitive, and I felt better when I left. She went over everything that will be done and how and when it will be done. Then she went over what to eat how much to eat and drink. It was great. One thing she said to buy was little one ounce cups and to sip from them. This way you have an idea of how much to drink or eat at one time. She also said to puree shrimp, chicken or tuna with a little mayo. It tastes good and is high in protien. We are to eat only 3 times a day and have 3 protien shakes a day, take in a total of 64 oz of Fluid a day and one chewable Vitamin and some kind of chewable Calcium like tums w/calcium in them. Any way just thought I would share. Oh also she told me NO Fiber. I had bought the benifiber to take to keep me reg. but she said fiber is a no no since it will take up too much room in my new tiny pouch. So I bought some baby food prunes lol just in case. The good news was that I lost another 10 pounds since I went to the DR on Sept 26th! I was so happy. I have 10 more days to go and hope to hit 40 pounds by then! Hope everyone else is doing well!

Wow it's coming fast and I will say I am scared, but exctied at the same time. I have my pre-op on 10/25 then surgical clearence on Nov 2nd. I have been working hard at getting my BMI under the danger zone of 60. Keeping my fingers crossed that I am there by surgery date. I WILL be there!
