The beef that is used is beef that sat too long in the patty pan- so it's tossed into a 5 gal bucket then stuck in the fridge at night until they use it for their chili. I guess that's the gross part about it for me, it isn't fresh meat in there, it's old patties that sat too long to be served.

Do you all know how they make their chili?? Not trying to gross anyone out, but it's really kinda sick. That was my first job ever- Wendee working at Wendy's..... Some things you just can't forget about!

Just came across this thread- you are doing amazing! I too am 5'2" and my start weight is 222. I can NOT wait to be back down to 150 and then working to tighten and tone and lose further after that!! No matter what size we start at, being overweight with and without health issues sucks! So excited for everyone here and can NOT wait for my surgery date! They best call me next week to schedule it!

I called the insurance co and asked them!! That's how I found out. It was 4 days later that my dr called to tell me, and that was after I had called and left them a message! Now I'm waiting for the scheduler to call. Should be this week!

Hang in there girl! My husband left me AFTER I lost 86#s and fit into a size 4, became strong emotionally and physically and mocked how I had a back bone.... (His new wife is a size 4...) I gained those 86 pounds PLUS and am now KNOWING he wasn't worth the weight loss OR gain!!!! Happy new me to realize this!! God has a plane for you, hold fast!!

I'm only 5'2" - my weight according to charts should be what 110 or so? 3 years ago my smallest was 136 and there is no way I could have gotten smaller. I was in the best shape of my life and went from 206 down to 136 with a strict dr approved/food program. Of course once I couldn't afford it the weight came on and then some! Today I weight 222 and I still hope to get down to at least 140. I weight about 20lbs heavier then someone my size because I do have muscle- that's the only way I know my BMI got me to the surgery point!

I called, she said they just received approval yesterday!!! And it could take a week for scheduler to call me. boo! Haha oh well! Just hope I have a say on the date! Praying for Feb 8th!

Ok got someone to block out 2 weeks for me. All depends on when I get to have the surgery of course. She asked me what I was doing and I told her I was having surgery. She asked me for what and I simply told her that only my husband and dad know- then she hugged me...... My room knows I will be soon starting a new way of eating, I just told them low carb an high Protein. I usually eat lunch in the lunch room with my girls, ill just drink shakes and such now instead of big bowls of salad or hot lunch!

I wish my phone would ring!!! Why is this taking so long?? (Said in my whiniest voice ever!) Just want the date, and know the next steps till I get there, and have a plan!! Puuulllllleeeeeezzzzeee call me!

My littlest is in preschool and she isn't allowed to ride the bus. I will make a back up plan!! Thanks everyone for your responses! Getting it worked out in my head is about 50% of the result right?

I received my approval letter and am trying to coordinate the best days with my family and husband. I'm hoping for a Friday, husband doesn't think it will happen. I'm sure all places are different across the states, but tell me your day! If I do a Friday, husband takes off work, works Saturday while I'm recovering in hospital, then he has Sunday and Monday off to get our kids to school. By Tuesday I'm sure I will be just fine serving Breakfast and getting them ready for school and driving them 3 miles then coming home! I really hope it's a Friday. I plan to do everything perfect and push myself so I'm only off for 1 week. I'm a literacy tutor and I walk to class rooms every 30 min and walking around teaching stuff while in the class room! Seems like some good walking time!!
