  6. On the 3rd day of preop diet! I feel I'm doing really well. I've lost 8# and I should be starting my period any day! I feel like I'm on speed, not tired, just on the go!! I'm having a Protein shake and fruit for breakfast, 3oz turkey and 1/2c cottage cheese and a bowl of Jello for lunch. Tonight I can either have another Protein Shake and fruit or 3oz meat with yogurt or cottage cheese- oh the choices!! Oh last night I had a huge bowl of steamed cauliflower (a free food) with 3oz ham- maybe that's what tonight will be but broccoli and ham!! Mmmmmm
  7. Prayers for tomorrow everyone!! Can't wait to hear all about it!!
  8. it's super glad you are here and posting to everyone. The thing that rings most in my ears from what everyone says here is..... It gets better! Maybe you are still having the effect of being put under? Those drugs are heavy and effect people in different ways! Take it slow friend!! Rest sip walk repeat. The nurse told me that flexing and pointing my feet 10 times in a row will be important those days after surgery. And if anything- I'm going to need your cheering on for me next week when I am where you are! Hold fast!
  9. Thanks! I come from the mindset that low carb (only from veggies) and high Protein with good fats works. So some fat from milk is a-ok by me. Not a milk drinker anyhow! I had a fruit and a protein yogurt for Breakfast 3oz deli ham and 1/2c of cottage cheese for lunch. Dealing with a migraine from the weather right now so going to take a nap. I'm looking forward to some steamed cauliflower for dinner (snack option) and some protein yogurt.
  10. I was just going off the list I was given by the Dr. office!
  11. Husband took me out for sea food tonight! Was DELISH! Just got home with low carb high Protein yogurt, 2% milk, 1% cottage cheese, fruit cups in light syrup, sugar free Jello. I've got my deli meats and will go get protein for shakes tomorrow! Yay for the next 10 days!! M-W working, off thurs, Friday, off for the weekend, work Monday then have dentist in afternoon, pedicure after that. Work Tuesday and surgery is Wednesday! I'm doing this!!
  12. Did surgeon preop- and hospital labs!!. Can't believe my preop diet starts Sunday (and I'm excited about it), and that in 12 days ill be sitting on the losers bench! We will do this! We are all here together and I'm glad I found this place. I've noticed my girls, ages 9,7,6- are starting to get apprehensive, they know something is up but I haven't told them yet. Going to wait till Monday I think!
  13. Thanks for the support! I have a friend I was thinking of telling Saturday. We are super close, she just had a baby last week and she is from the thin blood line I'm positive she will be supportive but I know she will worry!
  14. Yes crazy jealousy! My sister took herself off FB. Guess the stress of me telling her before mom could blab it too her was too much :•\
  15. My husband is super supportive, many of his coworkers and their wives have had RNY or sleeve. He is how ever nonchalant about the what it's and problems that can happen. I wish he would read up on it more just so if I have any trouble he can see the symptoms and know what's going in with me!
  16. I'm SO excited to go grocery shopping this weekend to start my preop diet Sunday! Crazy huh?! I've been takin Biotin for over a week now and will get the other Vitamins too. I'm doing this and making it my new life!!

  21. Yea mom has already said how I will lose it so fast and she will be the fat one, then tells me to not get as skinny as I did 4 years ago because she just cried at how anorexic I looked (I weighed 136- wore a size 4 and was far from anorexic!) gah
  22. Just told my mom and sister. Only my dad and husband and oldest daughter knew up till today. Why does family have to suck so bad? Mom says well you should have told me (I'm what is it I'm doing right now??) then says you don't need that Wendee (um yes mom I do, my BMI is over 40 and I don't want to develop illnesses due to my weight). Well how much do you weigh? (222 mom, highest ice ever been -I'm 5'2") oh WENDEE (yes majorly disappointment in her tone). Well great you will lose it all super fast then and ill be the fat one. (Really mom?!?!) Told my sister right after- this is our convo So self centered I could scream!
