    Unsweetened Applesauce

While in the hospital, they opened up my capsules (I take 3 kinds) and put it in unsweetened apple sauce. I did just fine with it, even in the hospital, and still (3 weeks post-op), I still mix the capsules with it every night, and usually end up with 1/2 the cup gone (I buy the small individual cups) because of the amount of powder in the capsules. But everyone is different. I am 25 lbs. down...can't wait to go on down!!!!! GOOD LUCK!!
  3. Thanks. I would get a gym membership, but that's all I could do is the weights. I've never used them before!!
  4. Does anyone know what I can do to keep from having flabby skin? A big problem is that I need a knee replacement and can't "walk" or ride a bike, etc. The only thing I can do for exercise is to go to an indoor pool and swim.
  5. I had an ablation several years ago and only spotted for all these years. But gosh!!! it's horrible....this is the first cycle since my surgery.

Worst comment you've heard so far

My own mother was telling me that most ppl gain the weight back by stretching their stomach out. And she proceeded to tell me celebrities that gained it back. PLUS, several ppl told me it was dangerous. I did my research and did this for ME and my health!!

    eggs

My Nutritionist told me to only eat soft scrambled eggs during 1st month and it worked fine for me. I could put cheese on top of it, too. For ppl who don't know what soft scrambled is....it's eggs w/a little milk.

    Friday Weigh-In!

Surgery Date: Dec. 6 This week I lost 5 more lbs. for a total of 26 lbs. Please see my post about menstrual cycles.
  9. I'm only 3 weeks post-op, but this week I started my menstrual cycle and to be blunt, I'm bleeding like a stuck hog!! My periods have been very light since I had an ablasion done several years ago. I don't understand why I'm doing this. I go back to dr. Dec. 31, but I'm just wanting to know if anyone else has had this problem????

    ham?

I cooked a honey spiral ham for Christmas and I've eaten it for several meals now....no problem at all. I made sure to pick pcs. w/o fat.
  11. My surgery was on Dec. 6 (3 weeks ago today). I'm already sick of eating the same ol' things. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm not anywhere near getting what I should in protein.

    Friday Weigh-In!

    Great Job!!
  13. I have a new "best friend".... VITAMIN WATER ZERO (make sure you get the ZERO kind) - It has 100% Vit. C, 100% B5, B6, & B12, Vit. E & A, Zinc, Electrolytes, and Biotin (which helps to have healthy hair). I see it on sale a lot for $1.00 for a 20 oz. bottle. I've always drank a lot of water, and nothing else much, except a few diet drinks. But, I am one week post-op and I'm having trouble getting my fluids down, even water. 46 - 64 oz. a day seems like so much to me know. But, Vitamin Water Zero has so many flavors to choose from and I've enjoyed the ones I have tried (and I'm a picky drinker...no lemon in my tea - no aftertaste, etc.) Just thought I would pass along.

    Friday Weigh-In!

Oh, no....I don't weigh every day because weight fluctuates. Only once a week is what I've always been told, so that's what I've always done...every diet. lol. So, I'm making my weigh-in day on Friday (if I can remember). lol Good luck!!

    Friday Weigh-In!

I find it fascinating to know the weight loss post-op. It's great, esp. being a newbie, to hear of the success and know how ppl are doing week to week. No worries about it, just like to hear it, and right now, I like to post my post-op loss and how long it has taken me to get there, as well.
