    Friday Weigh-In!

    HW=235 SD=10/24/12 CW=158 Total loss=77lbs. 18 more to go It has been a year, the time goes by so quickly. I feel so much better. Only 18 more lbs to go to goal. I start with a personal trainer today, so I hope these last few pounds come off soon. Good luck to all of you starting this journey.

    Weight question

    I only have 20 more lbs. to lose and I am 11 months out. I am trying to change things up a bit this past week....increasing protein, making sure I have enough H2O and changing my routine at the gym.

    Very filling yogurt

    Have you ever tried Greek style cottage cheese? It is from Kemp's....I think the fruit added ones taste too sweet, but the one with cucumber or the plain is very good. They have 19 gm of protein in 5.7oz.

    drinking alcohol?

    I waited until 9 months. I usually drink Jose Cuervo Light Magarita (3 oz= about 95 cal) mixed with 3 oz. Jose Cuervo Light Margarita Mix (zero calories) over lots of ice. One will usually do it for me. When that is gone, i will usually fill the glass with just the mix, so it "looks" like I am still drinking alcohol.

    weight loss slowed?

    I, too have been losing and gaining the same 2 lbs for over 2 months. I'll be a year 10/24 and would like to get down in the "normal" weight range.....21 lbs to go! I guess getting back to basics is the thing to do!

    Peanut Butter Question

    Have you tried Pb2?? It is a powdered peanut butter found on the shelf by regular peanut butter. I add 1-2T to my chocolate protein powder and it tastes like Reese's.

    how long before your weight loss stopped?

    I hear you...I am just over 7 months. I have been gaining and losing the same 3 lbs. for over a week. Am trying to keep positive.

    Quest protein bars!

    I have to agree on this!!! Choc chip cookie dough is the one I just tried...heat a bit in the microwave-delicious! The coconut cashew is good. I also have cinnamon roll, apple pie, and banana nut muffin to try. I did try the chic peanut butter and the choc brownie--did not like as well. They come in very handy to eat in the car while running errands etc.

    Eating Schedule

    I eat 5x per day...7am: 1/2 c. Great Grains cereal with 1/2c. skim 10am: 8-12oz Unjury with almond milk 1pm: 1/2 c. cottage cheese (1%) with 2-3 strawberries or 4 grapes 4pm: 1 oz almonds or mixed nuts 7pm: 3 shrimp or 2 oz chicken or 2oz hamburger Total is around 75 gm protein. I am 7 months out.

    Was it worth it?

    People always ask how I have lost so much weight....I tell them that I have had bariatric surgery. They always ask how it is going-I tell them, great, I am only 7 months out and still have 40 lbs to go. Then they ask if I ever had trouble-I tell them that I am lucky and have no problems.
