  4. Trying to plan my summer vacation and needing to call for reservations SOON and having my surgery hopefully next month, at the latest early May.. How long can I not go in the ocean or swim? Thanks for any help guys.
  5. Is the 4 months for insurance or his requirements? Im confused. My insurance requires 6 and you will not get approved til that is fully done.
  6. He is sending for an approval before you do your 4 months of weight management?
  7. Omg that's crazy. Im urged from the team to attend a Support Group Meeting but haven't gone yet.. don't really feel the need for it just yet.
  8. Oh wow. Never heard of that. News to me.
  9. My feet haven't been going numb anymore.. Maybe they just got used to it? LOL.. Ive been at the elliptical for over a month now and can do 45-60 minutes at a time. It is a slow jog at around 6mph but on the treadmill I could only get up to 3mph.. lol
  10. What your referring to as the nutrition class we called it Life Skills Workshop, it was for 3 hours for 3 weeks and was basic education, most stuff I had already known. Dietitian / Nutritionist is very helpful, I've seen her for going on 6 months and she helps a lot. We go over what I've ate and the exercise I'm doing and have a weigh in. The physc eval was a breeze. Nothing to worry about. Basic questions on why I want surgery, and knowing all the pros and cons, ect. That its a tool we have to use, its not doing the work on its own. Don't worry. Its all very helpful in this long journey!
  11. LOL!!! I can drink a whole pot of coffee and not feel anything. (Im pre-op) So.... This sounds like fun ! : )
  12. Thats great! The upper endo is a breeze!
  13. When I heard back, they told me a month.. I got the paper in the mail on day 13 I believe it was. It'll be exciting when you see that letter in your mail box! Keep us posted. Goodluck!
  14. Oh wow. First I've heard of that.
  15. I think you misunderstood what I wrote. I said Insurance said I need a couple more appointments, which the bariatric coordinator still doesn't agree with. I needed more nutrition appointments.
  16. Lol.. That must have been the longest 30 minutes ever.
  17. Im not too far from 6 Flags.. Love going there.. hope I can still do the same rollercoasters!!
  18. Thats great! Good job! I've had to lose 15 during my pre op stuff and I was only one pound away from it the other day but Ive slipped and am now 4 pounds away!
  19. Was wondering the same thing.. I am a roller coaster FREAK!! :)
  20. Im so scared about the catheter
  21. I am a big shoe freak. I love my Nikes, Reeboks, Adidas, Jordans... but I do have one type of shoe I love to work out with which is Under Armour! They are the BEST work out shoes. I've noticed in the gym, 90% of shoes are Under Armour. They are the best, try them!
  22. My surgeon gave me a big list on what is needed prior. I didn't need to complete all of these but most of them I have to. Physical Exam Blood Draw EKG Chest X Ray Cardiac Stress Test Pulmonary Function Test sleep Study EGD Colonoscopy Gallbladder Ultrasound Venous Ultrasound I also needed 6 months nutrition, a physc eval, and 3 weeks of a Life Skills Workshop. It varies for every Bariatric Program tho.
