  1. did it have any effect on you before the surgery?
  2. Does anyone know if we can have honey after bypass? I have pretty much cut out all coffee. I've cut out caffeinated and most decaf but I like herbal tea with honey. I'm concerned that honey will cause dumping. Has anyone had any experience with this?
  3. I am 29 but my surgery is scheduled on my 30th birthday next month
  4. I have low iron and I need to get it up before surgery otherwise they won't do it. What is the best way to get iron levels up.
  5. I'm so excited. I have a surgery date. It's scheduled for my 30th Birthday Jan 21st. I can't wait. I have butterfly's.
  6. I keep seeing onederland a lot does that mean you've lost 100 pounds or you are under 200 pounds? Either way congrats. Just curious to the meaning.
  7. I have Tricare as well. I just looked up weight loss surgeons in my area with great reputations and then I just called them up and asked if they accepted my insurance. I hope this helps.
  8. I am kinda flipping out. I have Tricare standard and I was told that Tricare would cover everything. I'm guessing that was just the surgery because I just got a bill in the mail for almost 800 bucks for all the pre surgery lab work. Has this happened with any one else?
  9. Has anyone else had Tricare standard? If so how long did it take for your insurance approval to come in?
  10. You look amazing. Congrats! can you believe the change in four months? Just think how that will be in four more months!
  11. That is exciting. I can't even imagine how I'm going to look. I have not been under 200 pounds in maybe 10 plus years. I have not had surgery yet but I am on my way!
  12. Aarval I see you have a tattoo on your arm. How is it after the surgery?
  13. I have not had my surgery yet but I was wondering about something. I've been overweight a long time. Do you think that makes a difference in your excess skin rather than someone who's only been overweight maybe 5 years or so?
  14. I'm frustrated today. My 90 day weight loss trial ends on Dec 20 and I could have had my surgery at the very beginning of 2013. But I found out today that my dietician will be out for the holidays and my date is pushed back to Jan 2. Don't they know that every day counts and every day waiting on your surgery is torture. I'm ready now!
  15. Chesapeake VA in the house!!!! LOL
  16. That is why I am having the surgery as well. I want to be the best mom I can and that includes being diabetes free and fit and a great example for my two girls
  17. I have all my testing scheduled and have done over half the appointments. I just was not aware I had to do a three month weight plan before hand. That kinda took the air out of sails but I'm thankful for it now. Does anyone else have to prepay for a excerise plan before they can have surgery?
  18. My last appointment is December 20th. Then I have to wait for a surgery date. I'm excited and nervous and frustrated all at the same time. I wish I didn't have to wait so long for the surgery. I just dont want another birthday without it.
  19. I can't even remember the last time my weight was under 200 pounds. I can't wait for my surgery! Congrats to you
