  1. one thing to help if you don't have it already is myfitnesspal it helps keep track your daily food and exercise intake. also a lot of people go back to their liquid stages and protein to get back in track
  2. you could be getting dehydrated make sure you are getting as closep as you can to 64 ounces of fluid. I know its hard I am almost 3 weeks post op and can only get around 30 and already been rehospitalized for fluids
  3. starting weight ---287 DOS 10/29/12--- 276 CW--- 251 total of 36 lbs
  4. I chose the rny because it is more effectively and no cheating like with the band and sleeve. also with the way your intestines are done it is the reason it helps diabetics and with it in my family I wanted to avoid that complication in my life.
  5. Folgers has a 1/2 brand maybe try that
  6. pasta should wait till you reach your goal weight and I've read salads around 6 months post op
  7. I see where most post op patients have a stall around week 3 and 4. it will pick back up
  8. well my hemoglobin and hct levels have dropped from last night but he said he is still fine with the numbers so he is going to feed me and resources blood work at noon and if everything stays the same I will go home.
  9. working on 3rd bag of fluids. hemoglobin little low and platelets a little high. waiting for surgeon to come by to see if we are doing the Scopes. thank you for the prayers and well wishes

  11. so being admitted for blood work and fluids. depending on what blood work shows will have endoscopy and colonoscopy tomorrow to find where the bleeding is
  12. thanks I am planning on calling today. I hate doing stuff if it is nothing. I keep saying after one more bowel movement to make sure.
  13. no i only take 2 flinstones a day biotin, protonix, synthroid, calcium . I called him Saturday when my 4 ty BM was black he said to monitor it a couple days so I was wondering if y'all had it to cause this mornings bm was black too. also in days i have bm's are the days I get really weak and a little dizzy

  15. how long after surgery did your stools stop being black? I am 2 weeks out and have had at least 6 normal bowel movements no diarrhea but they are black

  19. if you ask your nut or surgeon they will tell you our bodies can only absorb 35 grams of protein at a time so any more then that is wasted
  20. OK I went back to read the post op paperwork I can have the chili but anything I am only to eat 4 meals a day at one ounce each. glad I got that information now then later I just hope I didn't do any harm eating the way I have been since Tuesday
  21. call and ask I heard if you take something to dry you up it dries your pouch up too
