  1. forgot my dream size. I guess realistic it will be probably 12/14 but would love 8-10
  2. I started. with 22 pants and 3x shirts cause I loves them really long and big to hide the lumps. now in 18's and shirts could be 1x but still can't get over wanting big and baggy shirts so still buy 2x
  3. I am doing better so far since the surgeon did a dilatation on Friday. I sure hope it fixed whatever I was experiencing. I am down 43 pounds total 33 since surgery in 10/29/12.
  4. we are all human and since this is something you just started doing it shouldn't be too hard to get back on track. it is hard when there are so many temptations out there but look what you went through to lose weight to start with!
  5. I did go today for endoscopy and he dilated me. said I was too tight. and I thought just because I wasn't vomiting every time a ate or drank it couldn't have been a stricture. so lets hope it helps
  6. hey jny so I had the endoscopy and he had to do a dilation as he said it was tight. so lets see if that fixes my attacks I was having
  7. well I was feeling crappy too but not all the time was I getting pain or vomiting when eating or drinking. I went this morning for my scope and Tue surgeon said it was tight so I did have to her dilated. so definitely get it checked out because I knew something wasn't right. but was scared to call because my symptoms didn't meet all the requirements some had for strictures
  8. I am not sure if I had this problem or not as I always drank and ate milk products then about 2 and half weeks after surgery I made a protein shake with same powder and milk I had day before and got dumping syndrome. so I now drink lactaid milk. a lot of people do become lactose intolerant after surgery
  9. HW 287 SW 276 CW 246.2 Surgery 10/29/12
  10. I will. I just don't know what it is. I would think if it was the foamies I would remember eating or drinking to fast. but one time was just a sip of water taking my synthroid.
  11. your surgeons office won't give you the date but will to insurance company then finalize it with you upon approval probably. what insurance do you have?
  12. wow we sure don't keep active on our October dates lol. well anyway I am a month post op today and just now getting that left side pain everyone talks about. I also have been to hospital once because thinking I had a bleed which cleared up but was dehydrated real bad and yesterday went to ER closer to home for fluid. the past week or so I have been having some kind of attacks either foamies or gallbladder or something. so going in the morning to have a endoscopy to see if that shows anything. so how are you all doing?? really wish we all could be close like September and November post opers without the Facebook thing because I like knowing pre opers can learn from us. we can't learn anything from September post opers as they don't post on here anymore. BTW surgery was 10/29 weighed 276 and weigh 246 now HW was 287. was size 22 now in size 18 jeans. my shirts was 3x and now 2x (just bought 2 sweaters and I always like them big) but I bought a little cameo shirt to wear under one of the sweaters an its a 16/18.
  13. actually the surgeons office has to provide a surgery date to insurance for the approval process. cause I got a call from my insurance company saying I was approved but they can't move forward without a surgery date. so I made sure it was taken care of within 30 minutes after talking to them lol.
  14. definitely chap stick. it was more.comfortable to me just to wear their hospital gowns and no undies till going home. made it much easier getting on and off toilet that way. they provided socks so didn't need those and when your not walking or asleep they are taking blood or vitals so really no time for a book. so I suggest phone and charger and chapstick brush and deodorant and a pillow to hold against you for the ride home. I also just wore what I went to hospital in. oh and be careful with bra and panties that they do not interfere with your incisions
  15. oh but I don't have pain in lower abdomen. mine is like in the middle of my chest and afterwards my stomach area is sore like where old stomach and pouch would be and across where liver and gallbladder are
  16. jny I am going through same thing. I am a month post op as of today. I feel like I have attacks every other day and it leaves my stomach feeling like someone used it as a punching bag for a day afterwards. I was not sure if its foamies or gallbladder or stricture. but I am pretty sure if it was a stricture it would happen all the time not just every other day. but I did call my surgeon this morning and I go in tomorrow so he can scope me. when you have your "attacks " does it make it hard and painful to take a deep breath? mine does and when I do makes me more nauseated. and it lasts about an hour and last night (sorry tmi) I vomited about 15 times
  17. my life savor was cream of chicken soup. but at my one week post op they put me on pureed/soft phase so mashed potatoes and really fried beans helped. it is normal to be hot and cold. you do uahw to get your protein in as it helps qwith healing
  18. I just take 2 Flintstones complete daily. that's what surgeon recommends. also biotin 5000 mgs. calcium cannot be calcium carbonate. I am personally going to do b-12 shots once a month instead of taking another pill
  19. I have no idea what is causing it like last night when it started I had some decaf tea and about 30 minutes later I ate maybe a tablespoon of peanut butter then about an hour after that it started. the time before that I literally had taken a sip of water to take my synthroid
  20. the November thread is under pre op gastric bypass
  21. music how did you know? I have had a few attacks if some sort. not sure if its my stomach or gallbladder. all I know is its pain in the middle of my chest and it hurts worst to breath. I get nauseas and lately vomiting. I just now had one of those fits and vomited like 15 times lasted over an hour and I am just now feeling better. but at the height of whatever attack this is it starts moving to my right chest and maybe shoulder?? so not sure if this is what some call foamies or what
  22. I am sorry you are going through this. I am a month post op and I a scared I stretched my pouch because where most are saying they can only get a bite or two in I am eating like a 1/4 to 1/2 cup each meal. but I do have to stop myself because I still don't get that full feeling or I just don't know how to recognize it.
  23. I would read November thread about what happened to Eva in Mexico first!!!!!!!! IMPORTANT!!!
