  1. I have loratabs they work ok just short duration though
  2. I really haven't stuck to a routine. I know what I have to get protein wise and just try to get it in. I have been sick so much the past couple months with only about 2 weeks where I kind of ate. I love Kroger's low fat crackers. I will get a can of tuna and tablespoon of Mayo and 5 crackers and have that for lunch or dinner. I sometimes eat a dannon lite and fit Greek yogurt blueberry or strawberry for breakfast or snack. I use to love cream of chicken soup but since gallbladder surgery last week the smell kills me. I am more or less starting at the beginning again as I was in clear liquids while i was in the hospital and placed back on full liquids now till I see the surgeon on Wednesday. I was originally placed on regular foods at 6 weeks post op.
  3. ouch sounds so painful!! guess that's why I still have to take a pain pill before bed because it is a pain in the patooty!!

  6. I was taking the sterile strips off my incisions from gallbladder removal and one of my incisions feels like there is like a round bump? knot? like a marble? under it.
  7. Heather I am only losing about 2 pounds a week. up until I got sick recently and that made a unnatural 10 pound in a week loss but I know as soon as I can eat again and get protein and water in I will be back to slow losing. and exercise!! forget it!! I haven't been able to in a while. don't let it get you down. slow loss helps in sagging lose skin too so there can be a silver lining!! I think your doing great and on right track!!!
  8. hey Shona great to see ya again!! hanging in there and just trying to recover
  9. hey October buddies I sure wish we kept in touch more!!! Since surgery on the 29th I have had two stricture procedures last one last Wednesday and then last Friday had my gallbladder removed. it has been a rough 2 months that's for sure!! But I am down 63 pounds total. 51 since surgery. it does seen slow going but with being sick and surgeries my excercise has been totally limited as well as fluids and protein.

  11. my surgeon actually waits till your 3 months post op for calcium. multi right away and at 6 weekdays post op to start vitamin b12. I don't need iron yet
  12. well its not hard if you consider foqr example one premade protein shake usually is about 160 calories. if you use powder they are usually 110 plus 90 calories if using skim milk. and that's 8 ounces and if you drink 2 a day that's 400 calories right there
  13. good luck!! it might seem slow going but before you know it you will be saying "where did the time go "?
  14. what I wish I knew was how I have this on going thirst and can not drink enough or fast enough to quench it. besides being sick all the time in hospital 2 times for dehydration 2 procedures to fix strictures and 1 gallbladder surgery that has me this week very sick can't eat can't drink zofran not working although pain has eased up some. and don't forget the 3 times having impacted bowels. surgery was 2 months ago.
  15. I had this too. if it comes back who knows but has'nt in a few weeks
  16. I started in 22w at 287 and now wear 18's a tad bit baggy and size 16 can fit depending on the type of jeans is snug. I wear 2x tops because I still have to cover up the belly roll so I don't like form fitting shirts. surgery was 2 months ago 10/29/2012 and today weigh 227
  17. that is so awesome to have the support!!! I was just in the hospital the other day (gallbladder removal) and seen a husband and wife who got it same day. holding hands doing their walk walk walk part and sharing the same room. it was great seeing the support they had for one another
  18. until your about 3-4 weeks out the nerves in your stomach are not working yet so you will not get the feelings of fullness. this is why it is so important for us to time and measure. you can hurt yourself by not following the rules. This is just a tool and if you are eating and drinking like the surgery never happened then yes you will not lose weight. but most likely it is water weight. just make sure your drinking 64 ounces of fluids and getting as close to 80-90 grams of protein a day you can and remember to walk at least 30 minutes a day
  19. I've been so sick lately with all these complications and my husband said last night that I am making myself a hypochondriac.
  20. I am keeping up with the pain meds to stay in front of the pain but I am still so sick to my stomach I can't eat. I know I need nourishment si yesterday I forced down 8 ounces of unjury chicken soup and 8 ounces of unjury strawberry sorbet. trying to do the same today. the pain is still there but easing up a tad bit but I still find myself by evening running a low grade fever
  21. definitely just do clear liquids for a day or two to give your pouch some rest. if your blood sugar gets to low you can drink fruit juice just oranges this early gets a lot of people sick. but the juice is to be diluted with water
  22. I was placed on regular food at 6 weeks. however I was placed back on phase one while in hospital and now phase two until I see the doc again. but I can't eat anything everything is making me sick I am drinking water but barely
