  1. Your welcome if there is any other questions you have I will be happy to try and answer. If I can't I am sure someone on this forum will be able too
  2. I had surgery in October. First find out what the requirements are for your insurance. I had to do a six consecutive month weight and exercise plan. If you have this already documented through your physician then he can refer you to a surgeon. Or call the surgeons office they should have detailed directions. If you are just beginning you start by going to a seminar that the surgeon provides
  3. No I have a stricture it only gets worst as each day goes by but there is nothing that can be done till next week. I did take a pain Med and so far hasn't made me sick like last time but I made sure I ate something with it this time
  4. Try unjury chicken soup. It really is good and is 21 grams of protein. You have to order it online but you can order samples for like 2 bucks. Also my surgeons office gave me some samples of it and I tried it and loved it. It taste like creamy chicken bouillon in warm water
  5. Well most people choose gastric over the lapband as lately there has been a lot of issues with the lapband. My surgeons office actually is considering not offering this surgery option because of all the revisions and failure rate. Also gastric bypass has a higher success rate and you lose more weight and it helps with diabetes and blood pressure etc.. so do the gastric its good news that your insurance covers it!!!
  6. Well I started this latest stall at about 8-9 weeks out so it seems the stalls all come about the same time like at 3 weeks then 9-10 weeks etc.
  7. You can drink more. The 2 ounces every 15 minutes is a guide to help you track and meet the. 64 ounces. Just sip and don't take gulps. When you get further out you will be able to drink without sipping. I am 11 weeks and finally can but I am still cautious
  8. Jodi please don't despair!! I have been at a stall now fir 3 weeks!! I had my first stall 3 weeks after surgery and now this one at 11 weeks. I know its depressing but the weight will copme off. It has too we are surgically fixed right now so it has no choice. It will break you will see and like I am sure you've read others say check your inches because usually when we stall we are losing inches
  9. I had mine in for 10 days. It was such a relief as the pain totally minimized and was able to finally sleep on my sides
  10. Call your insurance company and see what's up. Maybe something simple they are waiting on or maybe surgeons office just hasn't received the approval yet
  11. Oh and sorry I do hope you get better soon and can fix the issues once and for all.
  12. I know how you feel!! Surgery eas 10/29/12. 2 weeks post op had to go to hospital overnight for observance and fluids thought I had a small bleed. A week and half later developed a stricture. A week later hospital for IV fluids. Christmas back in for 5 days for another stricture and gallbladder removal. Wednesday this week back to ER pain and severe nausea. Found fluid in abdomen where gallbladder use to be maybe bile leak won't know till I go to surgeon in Tuesday and also am developing another stricture need to take a pain pill but scared it will make me sicker. But you know what! Eve ln after all this I would do it all over again. 64 pounds total lost and in 16's and some 14's and some 12-14 tops
  13. I've been battling the same one for 3 weeks now. Its disheartening and depressing and worrying at the same time but I go to surgeon on Tuesday hopefully he can help
  14. That is awesome!! It is really hard with all the temptations out there. We just have to remember we are human and its not like we can never eat our favorite things again we just will be doing it in moderation. I don't like The word cheating because say I eat one chicken nugget that's better then the 20 I use to eat.
  15. They sell those at our Sheetz gas station only place I have seen them. I have been wanting to try the banana but they are always out of that flavor when I go there
  16. I have been getting about 70 a day in. I'm going to try and up mine for a few days to see if helps break this stall
  17. surgery 10/29/2012 HW 287 SW 276 CW 223 Only lost one pound in 3 weeks
  18. I've lost 1 pound so far this month. Surgery was 2 1/2 months ago. Last month lost about 10-15 pounds
  19. Erica I too am almost 3 months post op and live daily with nausea and pain. I had my gallbladder out December 28 so 20 days ago and I am still having pain from that. I take zofran but it doesn't help much and I have loratabs but they make me sick as well. I have had 2 stricture procedures in the past couple of months and yesterday had a CT scan that only showed some fluid in my stomach in the gallbladder area I figured if the doc in ER was worried they would have kept me or transported me to my surgeons hospital an hour away.
