Insurance question

My drs office faxed everything to my insurance a week ago today, and they told me they'd hear something in 7-10 days but my insurance is usually awesome about approving. Should I be worried that I haven't heard 'yes' yet, or relieved cos there hasn't been a 'no' yet? How soon did you guys all hear?

Call your insurance company and see what's up. Maybe something simple they are waiting on or maybe surgeons office just hasn't received the approval yet

Yep...call, be very, very polite and charming :) they can't get too upset about a polite inquiry.

I probably could be post op right now if I would have called when I thought things were taking too long. I found out I was forgotten for a few weeks at one of the steps. When I called, I got the appointment date I was needing the next day.

My insurance goes through an approval company that in the past has always been great. This time, it took about 5 days for me to go to the insurance company, then the approval company and back.
