  1. I'm having the same problem with regular Dr. Pepper. I Don't have it daily but I still feel like I'm wasting the calories. New Life Started 07/24/12
  2. Lately I have been feeling down. In 2 months I have only lost 45 lbs. I thought it would be more. I thought I would lose faster. I am trying to get the stupid Protein in but I can't hold anything down. Freakin chips & dip goes down great, I learned that with tortilla strips and guacamole. Greeaaat, right. Why can I get that down fine but not a Protein Drink? I've tried so many different brands. Then dealing with a hell of a kidney stone. I still have 100 lbs to lose, I just don't want to lose ky muscle tone in the process and if I can't get the protein that's what's gonna happen. I have a lot more energy than I did a month ago. I still firmly stand by my decision to have the surgery. I love having the energy to climb rock hills and do cart wheels. I actually went down a slide and swung on a swingset. My kids were so excited, I was playing with them not just watching them. Sorry for rambling. New Life Started 07/24/12

  4. Ok, I'm in the process of passing a kidney stone. Any recommendations or advice on how I can avoid them in the future. This is the 2nd one I've passed in my life. The first one was a week after I gave birth to my twins so it was no surprise when I learned I had one. This one though, I have no clue what caused it. I've never been diabetic or had other kidney problems. I'm staying well hydrated. New Life Started 07/24/12
  5. If you are recently post op you will bruise easier because of the blood thinners. Further out, you may not be getting your Iron in. New Life Started 07/24/12

  10. I am 2 months out. I handled wine fine. I will say I went from getting buzzed off of 3 glasses to drunk as a skunk off of 1/2 glass. I would try at home first. New Life Started 07/24/12

  15. Do you guys have a problem with cravings? I don't usually but when I'm ovulating all reason flies out the window. All I can seem to think about is all the crap food that got me in this situation in the first place and how good it would taste. I'm having a personal battle right now trying to avoid my daughter's birthday cake. Help...... New Life Started 07/24/12
  16. If you could make something along the lines of a gyro, I would love you forever. New Life Started 07/24/12
  17. Have any of you dealt with or are dealing with horrible, nasty, disgusting, kill you in your sleep flatulence? My surgeon warned me that some foul gas is normal but I swear! I'm not just making the goats faint, I'm killing them. Please tell me I'm not alone and that its not a permanent thing or atleast that there's a remedy. I'm sure it has to do with the Protein but man.... Even the house flies are begging for mercy. New Life Started 07/24/12
  18. Yeah I saw a lot of those and wouldn't waste my money. I found a couple that look promising. They're specifically designed for bariatric patients. I'm an.obsessive label reader. New Life Started 07/24/12
  19. Google liquid Protein. I haven't bought any but I'm gonna look into it. My aunt told me about them. She used them after her bypass. I guess they're protein shots with like 50 mg of protein per shot. New Life Started 07/24/12
  20. I did the same thing New Life Started 07/24/12
  21. That's awesome! I'm so jealous of you. I'm 2 mos. post op & average 2 lbs a week. New Life Started 07/24/12
  22. My favorite meal right now is my take on a French dip sandwich. I use 100% whole wheat flat bread (about a 1wide inch strip) put roast beef & skim mozzarella, wrap & dip in a low sodium au jus. It's healthy & comforting oh.... And easy! Something my kids will eat as well. Also love taco Soup. I use 3 to 4 different kinds of Beans and my moms home made canned tomatoes (perfect blend of spicy and yum!) It's packed with Protein and easy on the pouch. New Life Started 07/24/12
