hey folks its been awhile since ive posted .just busy living life enjoying the benefits of my surgery ! march 18 will be six months post op for me .im so thankfull i did this its not easy by anymeans but its been well worth it so far.i started my journey at 545lbs yes iknow thats beyond huge !! so as of today im 363 lbs still huge by todays standards but im a work in progress .had my first round of lab work post op and im off all meds !!!!!!! my a1c went from 6.4 to 5 no longer diabetic no need for blood pressure meds either ! my pants size has gone from a 56 to a 46 .and from a 6xlt shirts to 4 xlt im getting ever closer to my goal of 295 .and yes all aspects off my life are way better !!so to all my sept surgery freinds keep on keeping on !! and to those of you considering rny surgery i would do it again in a heartbeat ... thanks for listening !!! Lou..

Down 41 lbs since surgery ! 110 total including my 6 month pre op. dr says move to stage 4 diet and I'm doing great !!!! Don't have to go back until march for my 6 month check up and bloodwork! Life is good ....

Hang in there it gets easier everyday ! Your doing great walk and stay hydrated !! Oh yea rest to you just had major surgery !! God bless

No problem , I still watch how I lift heavy things at work , but no problems yet !! Lol

I think that depends on your job activities if your employed . I'm back to work after 4 weeks but I have a physically demanding job . If I had a desk job my doc said two weeks !!

Thanks Joyce , I can do canned chicken with light mayo with no trouble ! I thought grilled would be ok guess I was wrong !! Lol

Any one else having trouble with grilled chicken ? I tried to eat my tiny peice chewed and chewed and still made my pouch hurt ! I used to love chicken !! Not now

I had that also ! Mine were very itchy my surgeon said not to put anything on them !

Yes I still get depressed from time to time , I'm 33 days post op and still get in a funk !! Then I have to remind myself how much better life is !

Has any one tried baked sweet potato fries ? There on my list of foods , as well as any potato, squash and beans !

I too had to give myself those injections for 7 days twice a day ! They really don't hurt ! They just leave a bruise on your belly !!
