S this normal or does this happen a lot. I try to get into it but I am not comfortable and it feels weird. My husband tells me to give it time and it will come back. I don't have a feeling or anything I just don't know anymore. I am going on week 6 since surgery.

Can I eat that now? Please say yes. My Family been here in my house cooking I almost just said I will move out. Them eating does bother me but the smell just kills. Oh and another thing I have a king nose now I smell everything even bad breath from a distance. They took my stomach away and gave me a good smelling nose.

Well we got it in one afternoon but it's not a everyday thang. Lol

If you really look at ur self naked you can tell. I am on week 5 and down 32 pounds and I didn't see it until I got a long mirror and look every where. I started feeling myself I was liking what I saw. You will too. Congrats

Yes I am one day I will be able to have two bites of pizza every once in a while

Ikr. It was hard for me ad first because of the smells but that has gotten really better. I can't wait for puréed food I hope I make it taste like something. I am ready to chew also. I don't have a craving for anything right now because I think I am to scared to eat. I don't want to hurt or leak and stuff. When I sip now it is only a few times. I love to watch people eat because it makes me strong and it doesn't bother me. I just made Cookies for the kids for snack to day. My baby said mommy you want one and I said no baby mommy can't. I got the will power. I liked that recipe you put up can you puréed that too. I have no clue what we are going to do for our anniversary next month because going out is going to be a no no.

Thank you so much! The "food" in the hospital made my pouch close up it was so bad. The broth had no flavor or color. Looked like dish Water and I was not doing well. Was so scared to come home in all the pain I was still in, but I have been doing ten times better here! Nobody forgets to give me my pain meds and since they wear off kind of fast ( about two hours early) I just take them when I need them again. I had a bowl of chicken noodle Soup without the noodles, and my bf asked if I was okay, because I just sat there after the first spoons full with tears in my eyes. I told him it was the best thing I had tasted all week! I finnished the entire bowl and felt full for the first time. I then got worried about being able to have what was almost two cups of broth. My guess is it's liquid and went down faster than food will. I gained almost ten lbs in the hospital and tried really hard not to get upset reminding myself its just water. I weighed in today and found I went from 249 to 235 in just two days! I can't explain it and I don't much care, I really did need to see that after such a very rough week! I love how everyone on this page is so supportive!

Well well. Well the time has come for my surgery and I am here @ the hospital all checked in and inmy room just waiting. Boy am I hungry I only had sugar free popsicles and Water yesterday. One of the nurses told me you are so happy this morning yes I am a new journey is about to start for me today. July 17, 2012 is here lets go

The best thing you can do before surgery is eat light and EXERCISE. the more you work out the better your blood flow and heart will be for the surgery and it'll really help with the healing process
