  1. I developed one at about 6 weeks post op. couldn't keep anything down. We assumed it was a stricture, did an endoscopy and it was an ulcer.
  2. I'm a little over 4 months post op. The first 2-3 months I could only eat a few bites at a time. If I ate more than that I'd feel like I would get sick or get sick. I also had an ulcer, so maybe that was why. In the last few weeks I feel like I can eat a significant amount more than that. It scares me. I'm still losing weight, I'm down 89 pounds as of now, but I'm scared because I know it's a slippery slope, and I'm nervous about stretching my pouch. How much food are you guys eating at a time? A few bites? 1/4 cup, 1/2 cup, 1 cup?
  3. I can't do delivery pizza anymore, which is a good thing! I'm in Chicago and pizza was my downfall. I can now do a small piece of frozen.
  4. Like all those parties that sell stuff you can buy different packages. The cheapest was $59 for 4 wraps. You can do it every 72 hours but they suggest once a month. When I have a little extra cash I'm gonna get some. I'm seriously noticing a difference in my thighs. What celebs have you head of using them?
  5. Beautiful quilts! You are very talented!
  6. My neighbor had one of those "It Works" parties on Friday. The info is all over Facebook. They are these wraps that are supposed to tighten up skin, help with stretch marks, etc. Well I did a wrap on my thighs, that's where my skin has gotten awful. I can totally see a difference! Has anyone else tried them?
  7. I do too. I don't miss the actual food. Nothing even sounds that good to me. But it's the ACT of eating I miss. The binge. How disgusting is that?

  9. Mine started at 3 months, I'm 4 months now. I thought I was prepared for it, and its way worse than I could have imagined. I'm afraid I'm gonna have bald spots on my scalp soon. I'm a hairstylist so this is my world!
  10. I had a weird twitch in my eye and looked that up ad low potassium was a cause.
  11. Starting weight: 249 Surgery weight: 233 Today's weight: 162 Today is my 4 month surgiversary. I can finally say it was all worth it. First few weeks/months I had a ton of buyer's remorse. Nausea, mourning the loss of eating, an ulcer, etc. I am happy now. I have a great husband, 2 beautiful boys, a beautiful home, and a job I love. Yet I wasn't happy because I hated myself before. RNY has helped me lose 87 lbs, 13 until I hit my goal, and I am HAPPY again. I'm comfortable in my own skin, which I never imagined I could be. To people in the real early stages, I promise it gets easier. I promise. It will always be a struggle, I struggle daily with Water and Protein, and I'm losing hair (and I'm a hairstylist! Yuck!) but it is so worth it! Thank you RNY. It's the single best thing I've ever done for myself.

  14. I'm on vaca and at the breakfast buffet they have an omelet station. I had eggs, spinach, cheese, onion, mushrooms & black olives. The thing was HUGE but I could only eat about a quarter of it. Totally satisfied me for hours. It was awesome.
  15. Exactly the same for me.
  16. I miss pop more than any food out there. And I wasn't even a huge pop drinker!
  17. Pop. I haven't had a can, or my "own", but if my husband or kids have one, I take a sip here and there.
  18. Starting weight: 249 Surgery weight: 233 Last week's weight: 169 Today's weight: 168
  19. I've had a weird rash on my cheeks, almost like litte acne bumps, but had no idea what it was from. Now I know!
