  1. I have my first appt with the surgeon Aug 3 and I hope it's a fast process. I am completely ready for this!
  2. I'm in the beginning stages of the process so I'm not sure yet. My first appt with the surgeon is Aug 3, it can't get here fast enough! My insurance is supposedly great so hopefully soon after that. As soon as possible, I'm do ready!
  3. I am 100% with you. It's all I think about!
  4. It's wondering how long everyone took off work and if you thought it was enough. I'm a hairstylist & makeup artist, but I work from home and make my own schedule. I'm hoping to take a week off and then start up again, with breaks in between each client. Work an hour, relax an hour. Does this sound do-able? I have known my clients for years and they won't mind if I'm doing their hair in pj's or sweats. So I literally can walk downstairs, so a few clients and be done.
  5. I am dying laughing right now.
  6. Damn! You look awesome and truly an inspiration! Makes me so excited to get there.
  7. Every single one of you that posted pics.....you solidify my decision to do this surgery. I can't wait to be posting my "after" on here. You all look hot and you can tell in your faces how much happier you are. I can't wait!
  8. You look amazing! I love that you can tell how much better you feel.
  9. Wow you guys all look fantastic! How motivating!
  10. So during one of my many attempts to lose weight before decoding on surgery I did the protein shakes/meal replacement shakes ViSalus. They taste great. Has anyone used this as their protein shakes for before/after surgery? I still have a few bags left of it and I love the taste.
  11. Oh ok thank you. Were they each a month apart?
  12. I'm just starting as well, welcome!
  13. So great to hear! I'm glad you're having such a great experience. I can't wait! And congrats in the huge loss so far!
  14. Welcome, I just found this forum yesterday so I'm new as well. Although I already feel like I know all these people! Have you had the surgery yet or starting to look into it?
  15. I have BCBS Highmark as well. I have my first appt August 3 so Im not sure how that goes. Have you run into any issues with Highmark? What all did they require? You did have to do the 6 months of diets with the Dr?
  16. Hi everyone! My name is Kelly and I came across this forum just today and I've been on it reading all the posts for hours. I actually feel like I know some of you already! Everyone seems so supportive and helpful and funny and it seems like a great little family and I hope to go through all of this with you. I'm 30 years old and a mom to Carter (5) and Casey (4) and I've been married to my husband Dan for 6 years but we've been together since I was 15. I've always yo-yo dieted but it's been down 20, up 30 and I've reached my all time high. I weigh more than I did when I was pregnant with my boys and let me tell you, I was NOT a cute little pregnant chick. I am addicted to food, I've tried every diet and pill that's out there, and I've decided this is what I need to do. A friend of mine had gastric bypass 5 years ago and is so happy and looks amazing. I want that to be me. I have a beautiful, healthy family, a great home, great relationships, solid career. All that's missing is love for myself. I deserve to be happy. I had my seminar a few weeks ago and have my first appointment on August 3rd. I can't wait. It's nice to "meet" all of you and can't wait to share our journeys!
  17. Today is my first day posting as well. I'm so excited to hear about everyone's journeys and follow along as we all do this! Congrats on the surgery date, you're going to do great!
  18. I think mine will be chugging a pop or even a big cold water. Getting used to the sips instead of gulping.
  19. I'm from Manhattan, IL.
  20. This is my very first post (I found this forum today) and I am cracking up over here! I am so with all of you! I can't wait to paint my toenails, be able to "groom" again, wrap a bath towel all the way around, quit sweating so much, be able to shop in normal stores, wear heals.....so much to look forward to!
