  1. I've been dizzy too. I'm drinking lots of extra water and going to have some broth for sodium and see if that helps. It could also be from not enough calories.
  2. I would talk to either your nutritionist or the nurse at your surgeons office. They may know of some brands or products for you.
  3. No it's not. I have been crying all evening. It has been a real challenge to keep out of the snacks frim stress tonight as I'm on my preop diet but have managed to stick to it so far.
  4. Need to vent and this is not rny related but my best friend and I broke up today. We've known each other for over 20 years. Our kids are best friends and on the same football team. her family is like my own. We go to the pool and church together. I just can't imagine my life without her and know that we are going to run into each other all the time. This is not something that will change, it's permanent.
  5. I have a friend from nursing school from Annville. Did a semester at Good Sam and loved it there. Know a few nurses there since i went to HACC Lancaster. I work at OSS Ortho hospital in York. Small world!
  6. We go to the pool alot and when I sit my wet butt on the concrete it makes a huge mark Also when hanging our shirts and shorts over a chair mine are twice the size of everyone else's.
  7. Can you have any veggies at all? I'm allowed two cups of low carb veggies so I made them into a Soup. It helps to have it during meal time. If not sugar free Jello and pops. My kids keep offering me food too. It gets easier!
  8. Good luck! Let us know how everything went!
  9. No idea if it would be harmful or not but could definitely lead to snacking and possibly too much eating. Could get some bad habits back if not careful.
  10. Native and currently in south central PA but have lived in GA TX MD and SC.
  11. Good to know I'm not the only one! In still starving by the afternoon (I can only have 4 shakes a day and sugar free clear liquids) but have lost 4 pounds in 3 days! Hoping this hunger goes quickly because my daughters birthday party is tomorrow! It will be very challenging to avoid the party food and birthday cake but it must be done
  12. As a nurse it would be easier to stand for long periods of time, bend and lift if I were lighter. Hoping I'm taken more serious at work too. I can't wait to get on rides at amusement parks, get on a plane again, go on bus trips to NYC and DC etc. When we go to ball games trying to squeeze through the turnstyles is a challenge too. I would love to run 5ks an half marathons too! I just want to have a long healthy and active life.
  13. I'm still preop and last year I got rid of a ton of smaller clothes - still kicking myself for that! I just want to be able to fit into clothes in any store in the mall!
  14. Wow thanks everyone! I feel better. After my csections I was pretty independent and had only discomfort. I'm glad it well for you all!
  15. If any of you out there had csections how would you compare them? Was one worse, more restricting (aside from the diet)? Just trying to realistically prepare myself and manage my expectations. Thanks!
  16. Everything is moving too fast and too slow all at the same time! Had a reality check when I went out with girl friends for my "last hurrah" but it will be worth it! Elvislover I am July 10 so we will have to check in on each other!
  17. Awesome! Are you having any texture issues?
  18. Knowing that surgery is so close is driving me nuts! I really want to start my preop shakes early. I know it's only a day but im too impatient. Did anyone else start early? Just wondering...
  19. Everything! Champagne, carbs, raw fruits and veggies. I know alot of people are allowed to have them but my nutritionist says fruit and some veggies have too many carbs. And doesn't allow them.
  20. I used to work there at DDEAMC! Love GA!
  21. I'm afraid of depo bc of weight gain and the pill makes me sick. I've done nuva ring with success in the past. It's easier than it seems!
  22. I'm single too and not currently looking but hopefully will meet a nice guy after getting settled in to my new lifestyle.
