  1. I won't miss my thighs rubbing together...especially in the summer. :-) And I won't miss being the hottest person in the room (and not the good kind of hot). Won't miss the moo-moos that fashion designers think all big people must wear. Won't miss trying to tuck my tummy into my pants to look smaller (even though I may be tucking in loose skin). LMBO That's it for now...even though I have millions. :-)
  2. So many Junebugs! <3
  3. Best of luck to you all!!!
  4. I have my menu planned out for this week. So far, everything has been sooo good, and I was almost sad at the thought of possibly never having those foods again, but nothing tastes as good as skinny will feel. I guess anyway, 'cause I've never been skinny.
  5. Yayyy for all the Junebugs! :-) I'm so excited for all of us. My pre-op diet (Atkins) starts on Thursday...I too can't believe that in just 2 weeks I'll be on the losers bench!! Best of luck and God bless to all of us! I had to deal with the "you don't look that bad" comment today. Do people think before they open their mouths?? I was so hurt by that, but I'm trying to just brush it off. I guess what really hurts is that we live in a society that focuses sooooo much on a person's size. I for one know that I am a great person, but when people look at me they see just a big person.
  6. I haven't had surgery yet, but I'm sticking up on G2 Gatorade, crystal Light so I can get my fluids in if plain water isn't agreeing with me. Also sugar free jello. For my puréed stage, I've got Greek yogurt. Soy milk for protein shakes, and a couple protein powders that I like now (who knows what I'll like after). And water.
  7. Which Tyra Riley? I saw a bunch. LOL
  8. I'm praying for you wannabewifey, and all of us. :-)
  9. Hi all! I just realized that Wednesday is my last day to eat all the things I'm going to miss after surgery. What are some of the things you'll miss the most?? Mine are Pepsi and pop tarts. LOL
  10. I did something amazing for myself today. I bought my first pair of real running shoes. I WILL be a runner one day. :-)
  11. My surgeon only requires a 2-week Atkins diet pre-op. I'm sending my prayers to those going through the withdrawals of a liquid diet.
  12. I've got a couple. I want to be able to wear some heels with my suits when I go to court. I hope having less weight makes the job easier on my poor feet. :-) I also want to not be the fat girl. I'm in the same boat as you wannabewifey. All my life, I was the fat kid, the fat friend, the fat lawyer...I just want to be small. Not skinny, just small. And I totally plan to have a semi-nude photo shoot, with makeup galore and super big hair whenever I hit my goal weight...the amount of nudity TBD. LOL
  13. I'm on facebook! Bettina Roberts Flood. Feel free to add me! I need all the surgery buddies I can get! :-)
  14. What a difference! You look great!
  15. Yayyyy!!!! Another buddy! :-) Congrats and good luck! Are you on fb?
  16. Yay us!!! I'm glad to have a date buddy. Are you on facebook?
  17. Like my nutritionist told me, you can do anything for two weeks! Good luck!!
  18. I like Premier Protein - it's pre-made, lactose free. Very creamy and delicious!
  19. Hi all. I'm new to myfitnesspal. Please add me - BettinaESQ (I think). I'm still pre-op, so I'm not very faithful with it. But my liver shrink diet starts 5/30, so I'll be more diligent at logging.
  20. Thank you ladies for your responses. Here's my confession: I'm going to see Bruno Mars in August and I want to be cute!!! :-D
  21. Hi everyone. I'm probably being neurotic, so forgive me. I know that everyone is different, and we will all lose weight differently, but is there anyone who is post-op that has similar starting stats as I do that wouldn't mind sharing your weight loss milestones? For instance, how much in first month, second, first year, etc. Thanks!
  22. Hi everyone! I just got my date today - June 13th! I thought I would be more excited when I finally got a date, but in actuality I'm scared. I just feel like crying right now. I know it's just my nerves, but it's a bit unexpected. Anyway, I'll be beginning my Atkins diet on May 30th. How do I get a ticker on my posts?
  23. After a bit of a hassle with the surgeon's office (communication issues), I finally got scheduled for my surgery this morning. I am so happy, I am beyond happy. It's pretty much a full year for me since I've begun this process, so it's about time! :-) Can't wait to be a loser!!!
