  1. I thought I was the only one...
  2. Thanks ladies for your encouragement. I made it through yesterday without any psychiatric incidents. LOL Today is a new day and I'm going to get through this one as well. I just have to make this new lifestyle work for me, and I will. One week out and down 6 pounds...looks like I'm on the right track. :-)
  3. I am having this same issue. I can pretty much drink like I used to. I haven't felt any fullness or discomfort (except gas later if I have too much protein at once). I was going to call my nut today. Plus I'm only on liquids and shakes...I imagine it will change with purees. I'm glad I'm not the only one...
  4. Prayers to everyone going in today!
  5. I. Want. Food. Sorry, I'm having a mini-meltdown. But I am so tired of protein shakes and liquids. I know it's only temporary, blah blah blah. I WANT FOOD!!!
  6. I am feeling really blah today. I'm 6 days post op. i don't feel bad but I don't feel good. Anyone go through this?
  7. OMG!!! SNEEZING HURTS!!!!
  8. I haven't had any trouble drinking 4-5 ounces at a time. Well today I tried a 9 ounce drink - hot water and unjury chicken soup. Went down with no problem but now two hours later I'm miserable. No vomiting, but just uncomfortably bloated. I guess I pushed the pouch too far. Lesson learned. :-(
  9. Hey all. I think I overdid it yesterday. Was feeling pretty normal so I was up and about all day long. Well, around 7 pm my stomach was really hurting. I couldn't really get my protein shake down. Just felt kinda miserable. So I took some pain meds and gasx and went to bed. We really have to listen to our bodies, and not push ourselves to the point where we are hurting ourselves. So my hubby fussed at me a little...I'm pretty sure I'll be taking it easy today.
  10. Prayers to everyone going in today.
  11. Ok cool. Thanks. I was worried. :-)
  12. Is it weird that I can tolerate way more than 2-3 ounces of fluids at a time?
  13. What symptoms did you have at three months out that said ulcer?
  14. Maybe you ate too much of it? Another thought - seems like I remember my nut saying that potatoes and bread (carbs I guess) can expand in your tummy. Maybe that's what happened. Don't quote me...I may be misstating something. It's just a vague memory as to why we aren't allowed carbs in the beginning.
  15. Prayers going out to all those Junebugs having surgery this week. You're almost there!!
  16. Hi all. Surgery was Thursday, so 3 days out. I'm feeling pretty good. Gas isn't too bad. Soreness on left side is worst after I've been sitting or laying for awhile. So far no problems with water and protein shakes. I'm so thankful that my recovery is much better than I anticipated. I'm so glad for all the support on this site. :-)
  17. I just released a 30-second fart. It was AWESOME!!!!!! LOL
  18. My doctor said no creams or ointments on my incisions. So maybe you should call first just to make site. Probably depends a lot on the type of dressing.
  19. Hey. I'm on the way home. Feeling pretty good. Gas pain isn't that bad. I've been tolerating water and glucerna with no problems. And Popsicles. :-)
  20. Hi all. I had surgery on Thursday. I was in quite a bit of pain when I woke up from the anesthesia, but that only lasted for a little while. I've been tolerating water and glucerna in small amounts. I'm so scared to push it. I'm ready to go home but all in all I am feeling pretty good.
  21. Hi all. I go in this morning, and all of a sudden my stomach is a bundle of nerves. Those that pray, please say a little prayer for me today. Thanks!
  22. I hope my recovery is as smooth as yours!
  23. Prayers for me please. My stomach is full of butterflies.
