  1. The only person who doesn't log thier food or vitamins. I see so many of you do. I just stay very cautious.
  2. I had to do a chest x-ray, blood work, ekg, ultrasound, and an upper GI. All that was my pre-op testing.
  3. I took a road trip to Tuscaloosa, AL 4 1/2hrs one way and 4 1/2 back to Pensacola, FL where I live yesturday. It wasn't to bad.
  4. I'm in the same boat as you are. I'm 11 days post op. I can't believe how great I'm doing not to mention feel. It's so nice to be able to sleep on my side and stomach. Only in a hospital bed can I truly sleep on my back. At home not to so much. I'm glad i'm not the only one who hasn't had any problems. :D
  5. Wow, you were in the hosp a long time. I'm glad you're better.....
  6. Kids are so funny!! My little girl who is 6 was one of the main reasons why I decided I needed to do this. I also have a 2 1/2 yr old boy. But she said a couple months ago "Mommy you're fat". OMG I lost it. I started crying and and of course she got upset. Needless to say, Yes that was a slap in the face and a very hard pill to swallow... I'm looking foward to NSV.. Keep up the good work!!
  7. I don't have tricare. But my Ins didn't cover it either unless it was for diabeties....
  8. Some Dr's don't do nicotine testing. And if they do it's usually a blood test. You're insurance doesn't care if you smoke it's the Dr's office. You can always ask if they test for nicotine. Then you don't have to worry so much. Good luck!!
  9. Have you checked your Insurance to see if they cover bariatric surgery? And if they do what are the requirements you have to meet..
  10. Did you get Zofran for nausea after surgery? Or do they not typically give it to patients.
  11. OMG!!!! You're hilarious!!!
  12. Wow, big difference...Keep up the good work...
  13. Now you know you can't leave us hanging. Please do tell?
  14. Thank you for all the help. I guess i should expect a call this week? Or maybe i'll just see tham on Friday...
  15. I'm looking foward to it too. This time I know the weight will come off...That's so encouraging...
  16. When you were getting prepped for surgery and you met the Dr. What type of questions did he/she ask you. All answers are appreciated. Also for the women, I'm assuming they did a PG test on you. TIA Tami
  17. Just a little FYI. Even if no one responds to me. Which is cool. Please make sure you take your Vitamins. They're not only good for your overall health, but you also need them to keep your teeth. Especially the Calcium. Your teeth will rott and fall out if you don't maintain your vitamins. Know one has said anything about this subject. So I figured I would bring it up.... Tami
  18. Your teeth can and will rott if you don't take your vitamins. It's very essential to take all of your vitamins. People don't realize that losing teeth can happen. Please take your pills!!
  19. I'm also wondering the same things. My surgery is on the 24th. I would like info on Hospital, and post-op.
  20. Wow, you can certainly tell a difference.... Great job!!
  21. I had a Psych and Nut eval. I also had an upper GI, gallbladder US, EKG, x-ray and blood work. Surgery is Friday...YEAH!!!
  22. HI! My surgery is on the 24th. I've been on my diet for 4 days now. I'm only allowed Broth, sf jell-o, sf pudding, light yogurt, sf popsicles,no sugar added fudgesicles, and a 1 1/2c of cottage cheese. Did your Dr office give you a list what you can have? Some vary in what thier patients are able to have.
