    5 day pouch test

I did it for 5 days. I followed the 5 day pouch test just as it is stated. I did eat some watermelon and canalope. I only eat whole wheat pasta. I do not eat any white carbs. I eat pinto beans, green beans, salads, so you see I do eat other things. It does just what it states, jump starts you back to eating what you should be eating. And if you stay on program (what you should eat for the lab-band) you will not gain it back. I have lost 55 lbs. I can't reset my ticker.

    5 day pouch test

Yes, I did the 5 day pouch test and lost 9 lbs. It was easy to follow, and got me back on track. Hope it works for you.

    denied by tricare...lost all hop

Hi Everyone, I also have TriCare Prime. I have been "fighting" with them for almost a year. I am in the process of writing an appeal letter. I saw a form in a weight loss magazine(don't know which one) that a Dr. had a form that your own personal Dr. could complete to help you get approved. Anyone know where I could get my hands on that letter I sure would appriciate it.

    Sweet spot

I have a 10 cc band, I have 8 1/2 cc I go for another fill tomorrow that if I get 1/2 cc will bring me to 9 cc. I hope that will give me my sweet spot. Everyone says that your band will get loose as you lose weight. What happens if you get to the 10 cc. Does the band just quit working?? Any thoughts on this?
  9. I'm 60 (61 in April) I was banded on 8/20/07 I have lost 42 lbs. My Dr. tells me I'm right on schedule. I'm still getting fills and have not reached my "sweet spot". The wonderful news is my blood pressure and blood sugars are all normal now. So I just added some years to my life. Ya Ya

What is your Fill Level in a 10 cc AP Band?

I have a 10cc band. I was in today for my 5th fill. My first fill was 4 cc's 2nd was 2 cc's 3rd was 1 cc 4th was .5 and today was .5 for a total of 8 cc's. I did notice today when I was drinking my water I could feel it going down and it seemed a little slower. Time will tell if I'm at my "sweet spot". Anyone know why they tell you to wait 2 wks to tell if you have restriction? My Dr. tell me I'm right on schedule. I have lost 43 lbs.I was banded on 8/20/07. I still have about 50 to go. I have faith that the rest of my weight will come of.

  14. Go Giants, at least one of the Manning boys will be there. So Sorry Payton didn't make it. I am from Indy home of the "Colts World Superbowl Camps"
  15. On the water questions, my Doc told me I could drink right up to the time of my meal, just don't drink for one hour after a meal. The previous answers to the reason for not drinking after a meal is correct. It will wash away food from your pouch and won't feel full for as long. There is no reason you can't drink right up to the time you take your first bit.
