  1. Question for all I am sure we all now where we should be on the BMI chart. According to my initial consult with the surgeon the other day he believes what I could accomplish is weighting 150 where I was thinking 140 at a 5'3 frame, he said that 140 was very ambishish ? :-/ Question the is what is everyones in between range where they should be and then where do you want to be? or think is actually attainable

  5. One thing that stuck with me is also not as much weight loss. At the seminar I attended he said they total remove the stomach with the sleeve and with the bypass it stays in. So later on with your older if by any chance you. Need a feeding tube then you still have your stomach

  11. Thanks everyone. DL that was a good and informative video to watch Leb I think it was realization. Yup I'm fat yup I am morbidly obese I can't do it by myself I have to have surgery. It is embarrassment. Shame. Fear. Scared. Then a Realization it wil actually happen. Everything just hit me at once He is predicting 4 - 6 weeks before I will have surgery depending on how fast everything else gets in. I had blood work right after that, I was able to schedule the psych appoint for tomorrow morning. A scope on Monday to see if I have a hernia So the last piece of the puzzle will be the nutritionist Emotional day.......

  17. I have do my requirements for insurance as far as the 6mo this of pcp visits. On tuesday I will go or my initial consult with the surgeon. I will still have my psych and nutrition appointment to go to. What questions did you all have for your surgeon? I have gotten great Information from all of you and I will be able to turn to you when I need but was there question i should have ready just for him? I have a few already such as Have you ever lost a patient? What will is post op diet plan be? And some others ones anyone can think of?

  19. Welcome ! I am right with you with your weight as I'm sure a lot are. I was 250 when I went in the hospital for my second and now I am 255. My ankles and knees are giving me problems and I am finding it really hard to walk down the stairs without being in pain. I am so ready for my surgery!
  20. I am doing things all different. Having my initial consult with surgeon on Tuesday. From another hospital they required a two week liver shrink. But I am not sure what this one will say, I will fill you in then.
  21. Try moving from the pain pills to melatonin. It is a natural non-addictive sleep aid. Sells in the vitamin area. Bu as recommended you should be free of distractions (no tv, no reading) take it and lay down. It will not knock you out like a narcotic but may help.
