I was advised just like slowtogo The only thing my Dr told me to count was 64 ounces of hydration a day Eat Protein first then if after 3 ounces I am still hungry I can have a veggie not corn or peas Fruit only as a small dessert again only if I am still hungry which never happens I don't think I dump unless I over eat I have friends that dump from the smell of baking Cookies not sure why I am different but I am

  3. I have read tons of great reviews about Quest bars I went to GNC and bought one in each flavor they had. It must be a personal taste thing I was not impressed.
  4. Peanut Butter makes me very sick all kinds I even made it with fresh unsalted peanuts at HEB and I was still sick off one teaspoon PB2 is better but I still feel ill just not as violent For me I think that I am sensitive to the nut itself so not planning on trying it again anytime so
  5. Yeah I had it turned out that a Nexium a day stopped it and Zofran helped when I did get nauseous

I has surgery on 8/23 on the following Tuesday I was in the ER with terrible nausea turns out it was reflux because my stomach was so pissed off Docs words I was regretting my surgery that morning and one hot mess but with Nexium I am a new woman My Dr is different compared to others in the forum She told me to track liquids and eat Protein if I get hungry She told me if I am not hungry don't eat She flat out told me no shakes and only a bar if I am craving a sweet So far Beans cheese ground beef and milk are sitting well I do have mild bits of nausea but my Doc gave me some Zofran and that saps it right away Does anyone else have a plan post op like this???

  8. I started months before I wanted to find ones that I liked I also ordered Protein powder samples from Nashua Nutrition BUT now post op all the ones I liked I no longer do so don't stockpile anything yet I would just sample

I had my surgery on 8/23/2012 I was on Clear liquids in the hospital When discharged I was told to stay on clear liquids or full liquids for no more than 2 weeks UNLESS I started to feel bad like low blood sugar bad I was shocked that it happened the Monday after surgery I tried Beans and they sat well I must have a surgeon that is flexible based on the person I feel lucky Today we were out shopping and the rest of my family wanted lunch so we went to taco bell and I had half a serving of beans and it pleased my pouch Just wanted to share my experience so far

Hi there I just had ray gastric bypass on Thursday 8/24 I felt like a rock star in the hospital Managed pain with the use of drugs and nausea was minimal I walked and peed and walked and peed Today I can home No where is comfortable I get hot then cold I an on my second dose of liquid lortab And sipping all the time Have also had two popsicles I woke from a nap to go walk our yard to find my hubby making cheeseburgers and that made me hungry what the heck Oye inam a mess No I did not eat anything my Dr told me that I needed 7 days at least to let the new pouch heal Help
  15. Today I wake up with a terrible ear ache What the heck I have nit had one in tears I am at my Drs Office I hope I can get some antibiotics and this won't delay my surgery I am bummed but trying to stay positive I have worked hard for months Stupid Ear and sinuses!!!!!

  21. Hey there everyone!! I am new here sorta I have 5 more pounds to loose for my surgeon before she will schedule my surgery. I need encouragement and I see all the kind words so I know this us the place for me. Is the recovery pain worse than a c section???

  23. You have lost an amazing amount already I bets it's nervous eating you will be ok I don't have my first appointment with my surgeon till the end of May I am nervous oh so nervous Take care
  24. I am not a dr but that sounds like RSD or CRPS I have it in both feet Stress and or injury to the body makes it flare I am on Cymbalta Neurontin and B 12 injections to help keep my nerve pain tolerable
  25. Ugh I am so nervous about following the pre op diet and sticking to it for my safety
