  1. Hope all goes well and you have a speedy recovery!
  2. I had surgery August 7, 2012. No complications. Felt great the second day. A little nauseous this morning, but meds took care of that. I'll be going home in the morning. Overall, can't believe how good I feel after having major surgery. I had bypass and the doctor also found and fixed a hyatial hernia. Hope this helps.
  3. Sounds yummy...and not just because I'm on day 13 of NO FOOD!!

  7. I only had one visit. She also said that she had to write a report and the insurance might not pay for it, but it did. I have Anthem BC/BS. Did your doctors office made a recommendation for you to she that person? Maybe can can shop around for someone else.
  8. Thanks. I'm looking forward to feeling better, looking better and being medicine free. This is a great site. Lots of great information and people.
  9. As anyone had GB for reasons other than weight-loss? I'm having surgery Aug. 7th. I have gastroparnesis and GERD. I started seeing a doctor in October 2011 for weight-loss. As I started eating healthy again ( lots of fresh veggies, etc) I started having severe stomach problems. ( which happened every time I tried to lose weight) after many test I was told my diagnosis. When I started seeing my doctor I had hoped to lose the weight with diet and exercise. After my test results the doctor recommended gastric bypass. He said the surgery would help my condition. There are few medicines for gastroparnesis. The one that helped has sever side effects. So, I decided to have surgery. My starting weight (oct.) was 255. My current weight is 215. Hoping to lose another 70-80 pounds and be pain-free.
  10. New direction weight control system.
  11. I would love To have some broth!! Mine is 2 weeks of pre packaged protein shakes.....and they are nasty!! I would like to even have the muscle milk protein shakes. I wonder why the pre diets are so different. I'm one day 2 of my 2 weeks. Surgery is August 7th.
  12. Thanks everyone. Today was my first day of my liquid diet....and it was a LONG day!! Only 13 more to go..
  13. I hope you're doing better soon. I'll keep you in my prayers.
  14. Today is the first day of my 14 day liquid diet....I get 3 packets that I mix with water a day. Some are soups some are shakes.....so far I have taken 3 sips of the first then threw it out and 2 sips of the second and threw it out....I'm getting the third one down. I envy those that can have regular broth or even a few veggies.
  15. Hope all went well for both of you.
  16. Congrat's....I hope I do as well as you seem to be doing...
