My nutritionist and the PA at the surgeons office also ok'd me to drink regular coffee. To be honest though I can only stomach about half a cup in the am.

I know exactly what you mean. About two weeks postop I has the most excruciating pain that felt like my muscle was ripping. They said it was because of the sutures inside. It took a good two weeks to go away but ice help a lot.

I had a really big dimple on my left incision site but it's gone now. I'm 13 weeks postop and I honestly can't tell you when it went away! I had forgotten about it until I just read your post. LOL One thing I can tell you that I've noticed is that as I've lost weight, my tummy has gotten smaller so my incision scars have gotten closer together.

What is the omega chew and what is it for?

I was told to stay away from it but I've eaten it on several occasions. No problems at all. If you're worried just eat the tops and stay away from the stringy stalks.

I have noticed a huge difference. No problems at all anymore! I also think it had a lot to do with the fact that I lived on caffeine before. It's made life so much better.

Oh Christi, I'm so sorry that happened to you! Thank you for your encouragement though, it means a lot. If I'm feeling better tomorrow (food poisoning) I will go. I've run out of excuses! LOL

They usually tell you to let steri strips (tape) fall off on their own. Like Americas_suiteheart said, just clean around them.

My boyfriend is an excellent cook and it was delicious but I've been on the toilet for two days now! Ughhh!!! I feel like I want to die! Does anyone know if it's ok to take immodium? I have my 12 week follow up with the surgeon this afternoon but I need some relief now.

I after months of hemming and hawing I finally joined a gym. The problem is, I'm terrified to go in that place! The last time I was in a health club everyone wore leotards and legwarmers! (think Flashdance)!!!! I actually drove out there yesterday and got as far as the parking lot and drive home. I totally chickened out! I wish I had someone to go with me! If any one lives in the SoCal area and goes to 24 Hour Fitness and you wouldn't mind going with a middle aged out of shape woman, let me know! I was thinking. Since its open 24 hours I could go kind of late and just walk on the treadmill or elliptical or something and check the place out. Any advice would be really appreciated!

I have to disagree with you. Throwing up is not normal. If you are throwing up you need to call the Dr.

Welcome. You and I share the same surgery date. You're really gonna love this place.

The only thing I know is we can no longer take NSAIDs, ie; aleve, ibuprofen, aspirin, because they can cause ulcers. Bad news for us arthritis sufferers. I'm having a hard time dealing with this. I'm not sure about antibiotics or anything else. Definitely a perfect question for your doctor.

The preop liquid diet is tough. I had headaches and was exhausted. You can get through it though! Just think of the prize at the end! I lost 15 pounds in my two week liquid preop and it was very motivating... Take pride in your willpower!

We save A TON of money not eating out. We used to do it 2 or 3 times a week. Not to mention take out lunches on work days. I'm sure that has a lot to go do with how I got so fat also! I got one of those cards from my surgeon that says this patron has a surgically reduced stomach, please honor their request to order from the senior or children's menu but have never tried.
