  1. Just turned 35 last week and have my date of June 5th!!! Best present in the world!!! I am a single mother of a beautiful 11 yr old!! Want to do this for her mostly but for me too, don't want to be "the fat mom"!!! I am 5'7.5" 309 lbs. at last app. Just started the low carb diet, Dr. did not required for me to do any diet before the surgery but I don't want any complications so doing everything I can for myself. I am unusually very calm not too nervous about the surgery!! I'm sure the weekend before I will be, I hope!!
  2. My dr said not to drink 15 min before and 30 to 45 Min after
  3. I'm right there with you!! My date is June fifth! My dr did not require for me to do any type of diet! But have cut soda and any carbonation out of my diet completely! I'm worried because of not having to do any diet I might have complications with the liver thing! I haven't lost anything and maybe even gained a few. I am going to try to do Atkins this week! What does your liquid consist if? As it gets closer the more worried I get!
  4. I heard if your concerned about hair loss then you need to start biotin before it starts
  5. I have told people at work, most of them were really cool about it, just about two of them said "oh I know someone who did that and they regret it", so asked why. Both of them said that they gained the weight back! I replied with well what do they eat, and then begin to educate them on what their "friend" is doing wrong and that is why they are gaining it back. They can not reply and don't say anything negative again about it! Just stick up for yourself, you know what's right for you!
  6. Chapstick for sure!!!! And some music, it relaxes you, a good book, some post op information, loose clothes to go home in, and house slippers to walk in.
  7. My insurance does not cover it either! I called around and found out that I can get it done for less than third if price going through the surgeons themselves. Might want To at least ask, It's worth it if you can afford it that way, I had to refinance. My date is June 5!
  8. I am self pay and have been doing the journey without the consent of my pcp! My date is set for June 5 and plan on telling them next week ! Hope they are not upset!
  9. Well I haven't had my surgery mine is June 5 but the first thing that came to mind was your water intake! Don't get dehydrated!
  10. I'm new also have my nutrition counsel on april 25th and surgery date of June 5th! Scared out of my mind but excited too!
  11. Hello, I am brand new to this just joined this site today, been looking at it for weeks! It helped me with the decision to continue with the surgery. I had received my date on Tuesday, June 5!
