  14. Hello everyone. I am 9 days post op. I am down 23 pounds and I feel great. My surgery was April 23rd. I must say it wasn't bad at all. I was very sore the first two days but nothing major. I'm tolerating my diet very well. I haven't been sick at all and everything goes down smoothly. I didn't even have gas. Maybe because after recovery and then I went to my room with in n hour I was walking. Also they gave me nexium in my iv. I even started walking about a half hour everyday. At first it was hard because I kept getting tired now out of nowhere I have a bunch of energy. I had my first pre op doctors visit on monday and the doctor said I was doing great. My only problem is how your taste buds change. Before the surgery I liked the shakes. Now I'm having trouble getting them down. I even have isopure unflaved powder and I don't like that either. I tried it in tomato soup, cream of chicken soup and cream of wheat. I didn't like it in anything. I go back to the doctors on Tuesday, maybe he will upgrade my diet so I can actually get more protein from a meal. Like tuna, egg whites, eggbeaters etc. any suggestions on getting my protein in? Otherwise I'm doing great.
