I know that's your husband but you need to take some time for yourself. My sister is the SMS way. She does everything at her house. Her husband and son don't lift a finger to o anything. So now that he stopped doing something's her husband has a attitude. I wish you the best.

I'm having a problem with constipation too. I'm not used to this. Before surgery I used to go 2 to 3 times a day. Now sometimes I don't go at all. I'm going to try the miralax because the stool softeners don't work.

Welcome. Thank god I didn't have the gas. I was just very sore. I found that walking really helped.

I went in on a Monday and went home on Wednesday. I would've went home on tuesday but I had a fever. It depends on how the surgery goes. I would say 2 to 4 days. Good luck!

I went out to dinner today too. I had pork hops and mashed potatoes. I didn't eat much but I enjoyed myself. Like you I have lunch and dinner for tomorrow.

Wow I was told an hour before and a half our after. Every doctor is so different. I try to follow this but it doesn't always work.

I'm having the same problem. I'm just doing the best I can. I'm not going to worry about it. When I need a snack I usually have some turkey breast with a piece of low fat cheese rolled up. I've tried so many protein shakes its not funny.

It sounds like your not chewing enough. As far as the bowel movement you might need more water or liquids. Good luck. Monday I will be three weeks post op. So at I am doing great. I haven't had any food or drink issues. I know I'm not getting all of my liquids and protein in but I'm trying very hard.

That's why I didn't tell many people. I did my research and there's more success stories than horror stories. You also have to realize that some people don't do what they are supposed to do. Then they won't to blame the doctor.

Glad your doing well. I don't know if I had a catheter or not. Which is good. I hate them things.

I'm two weeks post op and my doctor said I could have coffee. I love coffee but my taste buds don't agree with me. After the surgery my taste buds have changed so much. Something's I used love I don't like anymore.

Keep walking it will get better. Don't over do it. If you feel tired sit down. Remember you just had major surgery. My surgery was April 23rd. I didn't realize how out of shape i was. The more I walk the better I feel. Every couple of days I try to walk a little further. I'm actually down 30 pounds. I am so happy. Good luck on your recovery.

I had it. I didn't think of calling the doctor. I just scraped my tongue in the morning and at nite before I brushed. Eventually it went away.

I'll be praying for you. Tips for the hospital is to walk when you can. It helps with the gas and stops you from getting real stiff. Good luck tomorrow.
