  1. If you can meet your daily requirements of protein from real foods you won't need the shakes. You will have to drink the shakes as a supplement as long as you aren't able to eat the foods or you aren't meeting the daily requirements. I am 5 months out and I don't drink them anymore. I hated them. But my hair is thinning too.
  2. You know anything from the liquid diet counts as fluids. My favorite thing to eat is Edy's brand sugar free fruit bars. I can eat all I want of them. They help quench my thirst. Btw my surgery was 2/20/12. I've lost almost 40 lbs. I hope you're doing well.
  3. I had mine on the 20th of February and when I hit that amount lost I also hit a small plateau like you. Don't be discouraged. It's easy to forget the pounds won't melt off like they had been. I know I felt depressed the day I jumped on the scale and it didn't even look like I had lost anything. Give it a few days and you'll start seeing it come off again.
