    Sneezing

Thanks Blondie..makes sense. Georgia, I laugh at myself. This just started...and I find it funny. The hubs will just stare at me and laugh...I hate to sneeze but hey...could be worse...LOL

    Sneezing

So is it just me? I have discovered a little vasovagal response that when I eat a little more than I should, I wanna sneeze...LOL... Don't laugh..ok..go ahead and laugh but I guess it's better than puking at the table. I am 9 months out and just started having this issue. Not complaining. I just find it interesting...

My sleeve is not a morning person

Mine don't do mornings either and I have come to accept it. I can eat, but not much. I don't do eggs so it's mostly meats..ie: bacon, turkey bacon or smoked sausage from the cafeteria at work. No nausea but it's like the door has slammed shut after a few bites.

    I should be thrilled

I still have this insane dream that it will all come back, but it hasn't.. Don't psyche yourself out. I hit a stall and was concerned until it dawned on me that I was under alot of stress of house hunting which would drive anyone nuts.. Now that we found a house and I can relax, pounds have started falling off and have found I need a size 12 in pants... So don't psyche yourself out. Enjoy the ride even with the occasional bump, you will be ok.
  7. I haven't bought a suit in years but bought one a few weeks ago. We bought a house 3 minutes from the lake and felt obligated to..LOL..I tried it on and was almost teary that I looked halfway decent in it...just simple shorts and cute top. Didn't care about the looseness of my arm skin and jiggles...It was truly amazing so carry on with all the clothing that we thought would once be impossible. I have a long way to go but dammit, I now own a bathing suit...

    NSV

Way to go on smaller sizes to everyone. It feels awesome however one does go broke..LOL..I discovered size 12...snug but stocking up on sales. Nothing feels as good as getting out of the plus sizes. I started out wearing 20-22...it's awesome.

    Slime?

Oh wow...I have never had a slime issue.

    Shorties

I am 5-2..I set a realistic goal of 130..if I get below that, then so be it....I will still be healthier than I was when I started this journey.

    Do you ever?

Yeah well..they were having the BOGO sale and who are we to turn down a sale on shoes and denim...I must contribute...LOL...

    mean people

I understand but at the same time will be quick to bite back if I think they are just being mean and assinine. I don't do nosiness and rude. I have a co worker who had the lapband then revised to the sleeve. She got it as an easy fix and did lose the weight and is gaining it back because she eats all the wrong foods. The first thing she said to me when my weight loss became quite evident was "Oh you will gain it back!" My off the cuff and filterless response was "I doubt it. I know what I need to do to keep it off..Do you?"...she got quiet really quick and has never made catty remarks again. I believe that the majority of the folks who make a rude comment, are jealous of our fight and will say whatever to make us just as miserable as they are. Don't let them. You all are awesome and do so enjoy this journey.
  13. I too had the sleep study and yes..had to get a CPAP. I knew what was in store because My hubs has to use one. As I have lost weight, I have not been using it and it too is collecting dust on the shelf. My husband tell me that I do not snore like I did before surgery. Let your doctor tell you what you need to do. It does take some getting used to however you will get used to it. If it helps, just from my experience, I used the mask that simply fits over your nose, not covering your whole face. It lets you feel less claustophrobic.

    Overdoing it....

Wow...I was sleeved on Oct 7th and still haven't tried any of those things. You are brave. I still am bashful when it comes to trying some things. I was giving a chart to what to eat when and still am slow to try some new stuff. I eat what I know doesn't make me uncomfortable. Your stomach can hold way less than mine can at this point so perhaps you should pull back on the amounts you eat, especially eating out. Good luck and it's a journey where you learn as you go.

    Recovery room question

I was in recovery for about 2 hours...an hour longer than I should have because my BP wouldn't go above 100. I don't remember waking up fully there. Remember voices but really no pain or shivering or discomfort. Got to my room and saw my hubs and all was fine. Went home the next day around noonish. Piece of cake.
