  1. My surgery was scheduled at 1:30 but I didn't get taken back until after 3:00! Yes, it was hard but they did tell me I could take a small amount of water early morning of my surgery. Also, once they got my IV hooked up and started fluids it wasn't bad after they gave me my Ativan as my nerves were a little mess! Good Luck to you
  2. Nsweety I am almost 4 weeks post op but I also had my gallbladder out and a hiatal hernia fixed! My larger incision is still very tender... I also drive bus but I drive the Charter Bus so thinking with all the twisting, turning and bouncing is why he has me off for do long! I'm already on lifting restricting due to an inguinal hernia...

  5. Mtchick I could never eat a bite of gluten as it made me sicker then sick and wasn't worth the consequences! I've been gluten free for 15 years! When were you sleeved and what phase of the diet are you in? What recipes or ideas are you looking for?
  6. My doctor had me get one pill of Emend (used for chemo patients) to help with nausea and vomiting the morning of my surgery! This pill was a lifesaver!!!! I never and to this day still have thrown up or got nauseated! If, you can say something to your doctor about this pill! I know everyone reacts differently to meds but this was a miracle medicine for me!! Good Luck to you all!
  7. I will be 4 weeks post op on Monday and my large incision has been very painful for me! I just wonder when it will feel better as I go back to work in 2 weeks!

  9. In your 5th stage of soft/mushy ..... What cereals (non sugary) were you able to tolerate? I'm almost 4 weeks post op
  10. I woke up this morning full of tears hoping to step on the scales for my weekly weigh and no weight loss! I'm 21 days post op today....I lost 28 pre op and 16 the first week and nothing the last two weeks
  11. I'm on puréed currently and had to do this phase for week 2 & 3 post op! Next Monday soft/mushy foods I can't wait
  12. I'm 3 weeks post op and my doctor required me to take 6 weeks off! I think it may depend what your job is and plus I had my gallbladder out and a hiatal hernia fixed at the same time as my sleeve.
  13. I'd be curious to see what everyone says as I'm in the same host as you! I'm afraid to wash or brush my hair because my hair is falling out so fast and it's do thin! I'm hoping now that I started my vitamins and having more protein foods it will help
  14. Has anyone got dehydrated after their surgery and had to go back to hospital? If so, what were your symptoms?
  15. I was sleeved on Oct 7th and totally understand the emotional part! I'm snippy and people look at me the wrong way I just cry! I'm off work for 6 weeks and hoping it gets better before I go back to work!
  16. I was wondering if anyone has tried pumpkin pie and if so when? I have Celiac Disease so I wouldn't eat it with a crust only the pie filling? I'm in the puréed stage... 3 weeks post op Any input would be appreciated ... Thanks!

  19. My surgeon removed my Gallbladder the same time I was sleeved 15 days ago and also fixed my hiatal hernia .... 3 for 1 Surgery
  20. I drive Charter Bus and my doctor took me off work for 6 weeks!
  21. Anyone else have problems with hiccups? I'm 2 weeks post op and seem to have them a lot!
  22. I was sleeved on.10/7 and I took Emend pill the morning of my surgery and never have thrown up or been nauseated one time! I also got my gallbladder out and a hiatal hernia fixed! I swear this was a lifesaver drug! Also, my doctor gave me Reglan for nausea and Rx Prilosec to be on 4 months and Lortab as needed for pain! I'm not bragging at all but if I can help any fellow sleevers I'm glad to do so! Hope you all can get relief and start feeling better! Best of Luck!

  25. If, you have allergy to soy or can't stand the smell of it... wouldn't recommend Unjury! That was my problem
