  1. I won't know until tomorrow. I am supposed to find out my surgery date then, so Thanksgiving depends on that. I was planning on making a turkey breast and all the trimmings for Son and I (hubby is a cancer patient on a feeding tube), but now, I don't know. That along with the recent disaster in our house that could mean moving to a hotel until repairs are made, I just don't know. ACK, I hate not knowing things like this.
  2. I was nervous, but then I found the questions in the booklet so silly I took a picture of one of the pages to show hubby when I got home. The 15 min. talk was just like chatting with a friend. No big deal.
  3. Started off Monday morning at 4:30AM discovering Water pouring down from the ceilings of both floors in our house. It turns out the supply line to the water heater burst. They put water heaters in the attic around these parts. We have had flooring, carpeting, and huge parts of the ceilings torn out with huge fans and dehumidifiers running 24 hours a day until today. Today I found out I am approved for surgery and on Monday my coordinator is going to call me to schedule my surgery. Yay! But in the meantime, the reconstruction company has to come in a pack up our living room, dining room, parts of the kitchen, the family room, the master bedroom and bathroom. We will either have to move to a hotel or just stay in the guest room with limited access to a kitchen and using my son's bathroom. This is going to be one helluva ride this next month or so.
  4. I have brought my iPad with me for previous surgeries and never used it. I did, however, use my Kindle for hours on end.
  5. Good luck! Let us know how everything went.
  6. How is everything going NORCALRN? I had never heard of a Jtube until I just now looked it up. My husband has been on a PEG tube for 18 months.
  7. Sending prayers and healing thoughts to both of you!
  8. It depends on your insurance company. I was able to find out the requirements for mine by creating an account on their (BCBS) website and just digging around until I found it.
  9. I've been eating Fage 2% plain yogurt with a heaping Tbsp. of apricot preserves and some chopped walnuts...so good. (not sleeved yet)
  10. You look terrific, congrats!

  13. I'm just happy that when I lose weight I will be able to run from the zombies when the zombie apocalypse comes.
  14. Would that be in Alberta, Canada? If so, there is a Canadian support group where you might find pertinent information.http://www.verticals...al-vsg-support/
  15. OMG, my favorite meat for grilling. Cut it in teeny tiny bites and chew chew chew?
  16. I have BCBS, too and all I know how to look up is if my claims have been paid. I guess I will find out in a few days if you can look up approvals online.
  17. There is a whole section on this site for "Self Pay" options.
  18. I remember wearing a belt when I was a size 6 30 years ago.
  19. So cute! Being the oldster that I am, I once actually had and wore a poodle skirt.
  20. Those look quite a bit different than the 5 lb.DBs I use.
