I've been stuck at this weight for some time. I think it's because I've been working out at the gym 3x a week since late September. Losing inches, but not weight. A little discouraged with not losing weight.

60 lbs. lost more to go but I'm more than halfway to my goal!
  3. Who's? Mine? January 20th is my surgery date.
  4. What happened after you "gulped"?
  5. I'm getting my sleeve on January 20th and have been hearing some horror stories of dry heaves and vomitting. Please tell me this doesn't happen to everyone, does it?
  6. This is my first day on my 10 day pre-surgery liquid diet. I am so hungry! I hope I can do this! Anyone else going thru the same thing as I am?
  7. Pre admission testing was done today. Tomorrow I start my liquid diet. Surgery is January 20th. My questions are: 1. Did you have second thoughts on getting the surgery done? 2. I am stressed out and having anxiety over this surgery, is this common? We're going on vacation on February 17th, I'll be on soft foods by then. I hope I make the right choices and don't get myself sick. I also think that being so stressed out has caused me to get a cold. I hope I don't get a fever, or they won't do surgery. Ugh! Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
  8. How long before my pre-op testing should I quit e-cigarettes? Just wondering
  9. How many days in advance should I stop the E-cigarette?
  10. I quit smoking (yay me!) and have been using the E-Cigarette. I have Pre-Op testing and blood work on January 9th. I don't think they're looking for nicotine, but if they are, I should be ok...right? By the way, what does Pre-Op testing consist of? How long did it take? Thanks for letting me babble about my personal issues lately. Take Care.
  11. I too, am scheduled to have my Sleeve surgery on January 20th! I'm excited, scared and nervous all at the same time. Good luck to you!
  12. My Insurance approved me for surgery! My surgery date is January 20th. I have pre-op testing on January 9th and then I start my 10 day liquid diet (I'm not looking forward to that). Merry Christmas to me!!!!
  13. I'm so scared of this too. I would love to hear from people about this topic. I have a lot of hair and don't want to lose it.
  14. You look fantastic! I'm still in the pre-surgery stage. I'm awaiting insurance approval and the surgeon believes I'll be sleeved in mid-January. I hope I have the same success as you.
  15. Today I finished my last Nutrition class. Everything is done and my paperwork is going to be sent to my Insurance Companies for approval. I was told it would take a couple of weeks until I hear anything. I am hoping and praying I get approved. Dr. Medvetz (my surgeon) thinks my surgery will take place in mid-January. I have so many emotions running thru me and I really appreciate this support group. Any advice or words of encouragement would be greatly appreciated. Take care!
  16. 1. Any problems after having sleeve surgery? If so, what were they. 2. What can and can't you eat once you're allowed to eat solid foods. Thank You!
  17. Multiple choice. My test asked about me and how I think about certain things. My personality, if I am mentally stable, depression, anger and even my faith was mixed in.
  18. I had to do a written test too. It was like doing my SAT's again. It took about 1/2 hour.
  19. OH WOW! I'm so envious of you! You look fabulous! Congrats! I hope I will be as successful as you!
  20. How long after your surgery were you allowed to drive? I am hoping it's not that long, because I'll go crazy!
  21. Eating properly. Getting in protein. Avoiding sugars and processed food. How much you should be eating on a small plate. Preparing for post-surgery.
  22. Anyone have to do Nutrition classes? And so, did you actually gain weight instead of lose weight? I'm about to cry here. I have done everything what the Nutritionist has told me to do and I've done nothing but gain weight. It's very depressing!
  23. If you read my ticker, it shows what I had (and still have) to get done. I have one more nutrition class on December 17th and then it goes to Insurance for approval. They are thinking I'll have sleeve surgery sometime in January (crossing fingers).
