  1. Im on day 2 of my liquid diet and it isnt that bad. I have to work all day but you can push through it. The jello really helps and keeping you protein helps too. I agree with italiancurves and stay away from the fruit juices. My NUT said only 4 oz if I got really weak but I havent. You can do it and I will too! Just keep swimming eye on the prize. best of luck
  2. Thanks Jerseygirl for the link to that post. I must have been a god send. Today is the first day of my pre op diet and as we all know it is really hard. Reading that gave me the energy to go on and fight through it. Thanks again

    Liquid diet

I am so happy to hear that because I start my liquid on Wednesday and have been worried about it. I know it is mind over matter and I can do anything for a week but i need to get my head on straight and approach with a positive attitude. Good luck.
  4. I am so happy to hear that because I am scheduled for the hernia repair as well on the 30 and starting to feel a lil anxious

    Dreaming of Food?

I have had that happen when I have been on diets before and I expect it will again when I start my liquid diet next week. It is such a freaky feeling and the dreams are so detailed.
  6. You are a stronger person then me for not saying anything. I am still in shock by her comment.

    New me One year mark

Great job!!! keep up the good work.
  8. My doc allows Syntrax Nectar. Only the fruit flavored ones once I have the surgery for my 'clear liquids' week. I havent had one since I havent had the surgery but others have said they are good. I have also heard you can use unflavored and add crystal light to it but as I said before I havent had surgery yet. so good luck
  9. Wow!! happy to hear you are feeling well so soon. That makes me feel so much better. Also this is the first pic I have seen after the surgery. Thanks for taking the time to show us pre op peeps what to expect. Keep up the good work.

    Pre op happenings

I think you have a great attitude towards all the pre op happenings. Keep up the good work. What day is your surgery? I am scheduled for the 30the EGD on the 29th and start my pre op diet on the 23rd. My pre op diet is only liquids no mush. I am not looking forward to that but as you say eye on the prize.

    Two Days Post-Op

I have had 2 C-sections last one over 20 years ago but I didnt have any pain with either of them and was up that day. I dont recall the 'tuck and roll' method to get out of bed but I will try it if needed for this surgery for sure. thanks
