I'm Scared of My Pre-Op Diet
Im on day 2 of my liquid diet and it isnt that bad. I have to work all day but you can push through it. The jello really helps and keeping you protein helps too. I agree with italiancurves and stay away from the fruit juices. My NUT said only 4 oz if I got really weak but I havent. You can do it and I will too! Just keep swimming eye on the prize. best of luck

How do you not cheat on your pre op diet?
Thanks Jerseygirl for the link to that post. I must have been a god send. Today is the first day of my pre op diet and as we all know it is really hard. Reading that gave me the energy to go on and fight through it. Thanks again

Liquid diet
I am so happy to hear that because I start my liquid on Wednesday and have been worried about it. I know it is mind over matter and I can do anything for a week but i need to get my head on straight and approach with a positive attitude. Good luck.

Dreaming of Food?
I have had that happen when I have been on diets before and I expect it will again when I start my liquid diet next week. It is such a freaky feeling and the dreams are so detailed.

So, I consider myself fairly tolerant of stupid people (or I mask it well), but...
You are a stronger person then me for not saying anything. I am still in shock by her comment.

Clear liquid protein alternatives?
My doc allows Syntrax Nectar. Only the fruit flavored ones once I have the surgery for my 'clear liquids' week. I havent had one since I havent had the surgery but others have said they are good. I have also heard you can use unflavored and add crystal light to it but as I said before I havent had surgery yet. so good luck

Two Days Post-Op
I have had 2 C-sections last one over 20 years ago but I didnt have any pain with either of them and was up that day. I dont recall the 'tuck and roll' method to get out of bed but I will try it if needed for this surgery for sure. thanks

Two Days Post-Op

Two Days Post-Op
I live in an upstairs apartment and was wondering how difficult stairs will be? I am having my surgery on the 30th and starting to get anxious about these things. Also my bed sits low to the ground. Do you think that will be difficult too? So many things to think about pre surgery.....

oct.30th anyone getting sleeved that day?
23rd I am so not looking forward to that. But at least it is only a week. I have seen several on here that have to go on liquids for 2 weeks.

Dfw area...soooo not telling anyone having surgery...ll
I really think you need to have a support system at home. I can understand not wanting to ask to put someone out but this is important and they are your friends. If you feel better telling them it is for different procedure then do so, as long as you have some support. You may try talking to the social worker at the hospital and explain to them you have support at home but they dont have transportation. They may allow you to leave via cab then. Good luck and I would help if I could because I am in the area but I am going to be doing pre-op for my surgery that day if all goes well. Let your friends help you.

What Apps do you use to track your daily intake etc?

OMG the 2 week wait is upon me
Im in the same situation. I had my first appointment on Wednesday and they said they will be able to schedule the date after the testing is back in 7 days so I am looking at October too. I have been reading some of the boards and getting a little scared. The gas pain sounds horrible and I making myself more anxious thinking about it.
