Me too! This gas is driving me crazy every day and the OTC stuff isn't doing any good (I take Lactaid with every meal that has any kind of cheese or milk, along with tons of gas x, and several digestive enzymes daily) - this is insane! I cant figure out what is causing this. I am afraid to eat anything anymore b/c I am worried it's gonna make matters worse. Its so bad it has even caused some embarrassing moments in public!!! I was at my wits end so I did some research and found two things that were HIGHLY recommended by gastric bypass patients: 1. Fennel Tea 2. Charcoal tabs I have ordered both on Amazon and am anxiously waiting for them to arrive. I will let you know if they work.

I used Dr. Nick as well and have been very happy with him and his staff. Even the nurses in the hospital kept saying "we love Dr. Nick"..... so apparently he has a following! LOL! -

What about honey & cinnamon? Before surgery I used natural raw homey and cinnamon in my coffee because of the NUMEROUS health benefits but post surgery I am afraid to use honey because I am worried it might slow my weight loss. Your thoughts? Is 1-2 tablespoons of honey a day gonna stop or slow the weight loss? -

What bothers me most is how overweight men and women get treated in the corporate world. I have noticed that thin, good-looking people don't have to produce a good work product to get noticed and promoted. People automatically think thin, good-looking people are smart, energetic, and have it all together and fat people are stupid, lazy and incompetent! There is definitely weight discrimination - too bad that's not a protected class! Ha/ha -
I found them at Vitamin Shoppe for about $4 bottle and on Amazon for just over $3 per bottle. A GREAT way to get 40 grams of protein!
-
Yes, I had my band removal and sleeve done at the same time - thank goodness! I would not want to go through everything twice.

Whos in September? We need some September buddies!

I had my revision surgery from lap band to sleeve on 9/10/13. I am feeling really good and already down 22 lbs from my starting weight. I pray this works better for me than the lap band did - glad to have that thing OUT! -

I agree with you whole-heartedly! At first I wasn't gonna tell anyone either thinking I would just pretend I lost all this weight on my own but I have so many friends/acquaintances that struggle with their weight I ended up telling most of them what I was doing and why. I found most people very supportive and I know several are thinking of doing the same. I realized I just need to be me....and anyone who doesn't like it that's their problem! I feel better knowing I don't have to hide it from my family and friends and I can be honest about my struggles and my journey. By the way.... My surgery was 9/10/13 as well.... So far so good!

I had my revision done on 9/10/13 as well... I feel SO much better now that I have the band out! So far recovery is going smooth... How are you doing?

Dr. Nick Nicholson did my revision 9/10/13 and he removed the band and did the sleeve in one procedure. Everything was great with his staff and Forest Park Medical was a very nice hospital. Dr.Nick charged me 4k less than Dr. Kim was going to charge me and I have not had to pay any "consult fee" or for any office visits. I would highly recommend Dr. Nick to anyone. -
I had Dr. Nick do my revision on 9/10/13. He was so sweet and it was very quick from the first appointment to surgery (self-pay so didn't have to wait for insurance approval). I was very pleased with Dr. Nick, his staff, and Forest Park Medical - so far it's been a great experience. I just hope I have better luck with the sleeve than I had with the band.
