  1. Height is a big deal to me. I just cannot date someone shorter than I am! It feels so weird to me. God bless Nicole Kidman when she was with Tom Cruise.... But I can't do it and you need to be with someone who "fits". Keep casting that line and the right fish will bite.
  2. Not me. I'm mean!!! Grrr!
  3. Lots of guys! You'll find lots as you navigate your way around. My date is about a month after yours and I'm already an emotional wreck. Lol. I hear it's normal. April
  4. Well, welcome Diane!! It's great that you started the process to get back to the healthier you. As you know, this forum has a wealth of knowledge. Use all of it to your advantage I'm having all of my final appointments February 3. Then 2weeks later on the 19th is my surgery. I bet your surgery is next month as well. Good luck and keep us all updated. April
  5. I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your boss, who was also a good friend to you. I know losing someone, especially out of the blue, can be very hard. On another note, congrats on the 30 pound loss!! Now go get those size 16's girl!!! April
  6. I know mine is severe. They have it cranked up to 14 out of 18 and they did say as far as the rating goes 15 is mild, 30 is moderate, 35 and above is severe and I'm an 85. But I get less sleep with it on.
  7. I lost a lot of weight doing the HCG diet and I thought my skin was so soft, but firm from the brushing. You brush toward your heart, not in circles is the way I did it though. It stimulates the skin cells to heal. If you have the right kind of all-natural Tampico brush it really works wonders. I just ordered me a new one off Amazon. I'm gonna start using it as soon as it arrives. The way I see it, it's definitely not gonna hurt your skin, and anything that will benefit, or could benefit, I'm gonna try. April
  8. Skin brushing is rarely acknowledged on here, but I've heard it really firms up the skin if you do it every day before your shower.
  9. Haven't tried a cannula. I'll call and see if it will be something I can try. Thanks
  10. I have a deviated septum so I breathe out my mouth when I sleep, hence a face mask. I've always slept on my sides Bc of spinal stenosis and I just can't sleep on my back. Way too painful. The mask is awful. I feel like I'm suffocating with something covering my face. I keep trying but it gets no better.
  11. People in Ketosis, and people on a very high protein/low carb diet sweat out an ammonia smell. It's common in gyms to smell like ammonia because of this.
  12. Highest dosage of what? I have severe GERD and a history of ulcers and had to go through several PPI's until I was put on protonix twice daily. Now I feel good as gold.
  13. I've tried wearing mine every night for almost a month and get no sleep. I'm super aware of it there. I feel so claustrophobic. The longest I've been able to wear it is 2 hours and it was not good rest at all.
  14. I was just thinking about you and wondering how u were doing. They say each day gets better. Hang in there!!
  15. Sometimes I feel as if feb 18 is so far away that something is gonna prevent it from actually happening. Other times it's right there in my face coming up so fast I'm trying to prepare for it. April
  16. I had a 3 month diet and lost only 11 pounds. To be honest, I had more food funerals than I should have. April
  17. Thanks!! Yeah. It will be a major cause of anxiety and I'm gonna ask them to give me a chill pill. Lol
  18. I think it would be totally awesome to see it or a pic of it.
  19. Thanks guys! I was worried, now I'm happy I have one less test.
  20. So, I'm guessing not everyone has an endoscopy/ EGD before their surgery? I was told on feb 3 I'll have my final consult and have a 2 hr class, an EKG, a chest X-ray and labs. Then I'll start my 2 week preop the following day with surgery on the 18th. My PCP and surgeon both think I may have a hiatal hernia, but with no upper GI or endoscopy how will my surgeon be certain? I feel dumb right now. Maybe my surgeon waits til she's got me under and once she proceeds with surgery, she just fixes it if there is one? April
  21. That's how it is for me, in Oklahoma.
  22. Definitely. Plus they will answer specific questions you have.
  23. I'd straight up contact my insurance and ask them. All policies are different. I wish I knew more about what all they require but I know I got all of my questions answered and even when I couldn't understand what they meant I just told them that I didn't understand. Asked if they could explain it to me and they did.
