You are taking the steps you need to stave off heart conditions, diabetes, sleep apnea and tons of other serious illnesses that are obesity related and can cause death. Stop beating yourself up. I pushed mine from January to February Bc I had too much on my plate with my daughter's school activities. It sucks but it gives me another month to get my head on straight. You just gang in there and it'll be here before you know it. April

Exactly! I know that the clinic where my sister works have at least half the women in there sleeved. Which is awesome. But... Most of them do stuff I won't do. Like eat whatever they want. Lol. I'm gonna take advantage of my honeymoon period.

I know this is crazy but when I had my gall bladder out I started an earlier period. It was the day after my surgery. Then I had the worst periods ever after my tubes were tied. I think any surgery throws it out of whack. I think you're totally right.

My sister and closest friend have both had it. My sister was banded over 10 yrs ago in Mexico and had great results. Lost about 130-140 pounds. But her band screwed up and she had to convert to the sleeve so she wouldn't regain. My friend had hers over a year ago and has lost about 140 pounds. At least when we do go out to eat we can all 3 share! Lol I mainly talk about it with those 2 and what's funny is my sister always asked ME questions even though she's sleeved and I'm not because she knows I'm always on here. April

Jeez!! I'm so sorry that happened to you. And the doctors disagreeing. That's crazy. Hang in there and I hope you get to feeling stronger and better soon.

So glad everything went well with the scope! I know, I'm up til the wee hours of the morning on the board and googling stuff. I think my friends and family may strangle me beforehand because I won't shut up about it. Lol

I know!!! It's crazy!!! I go from doubt to fear to excitement. I keep telling myself all the benefits and my daughter is such a cheerleader for me, which helps a lot. It is getting closer n closer and I feel obsessed because I keep making lists of what I need for the hospital and for after I get home etc. then I rewrite them. Lol April

Sarahjane, I have tatts too. It's the whole intravenous part. But heck yeah I'll definitely ask for it to be numbed. I'm sorry that it took a bit to get yours in. How did the EGD go? I don't have to have one but know they tell a lot of info about ulcers, hernias, etc.

When doubt creeps in I struggle a lot with being positive. Then I think of all of the benefits of this surgery and get excited all over again. It's definitely a roller coaster ride of emotions. April

Miss Mac, you have no idea how inspiring this was to hear. I have severe spinal stenosis and arthritis as well as Degenerative Disk Disease. Neuro said once weight was gone the pressure should be eased on my spine and joints. You've definitely given me hope!! April

Unless it was extremely rough sex, which usually doesn't make you bleed at all, it's your period. I'd go with period since you said it seems like it. Your hormones are out of whack after surgery and some people's periods get really screwed up.

My sister had a binder and was told not to wear it longer than 7 days.
