  4. URGH! I continue to do this and hurt EVERY time...I think It's cuz I wait too long to eat and am too hungry...HELP!!! Any suggestions on slowing down? I don't want that app that counts...and I really think I don't realize I'm hungry until too late...does anyone else do this?
  5. I cook normally for myself and my family. If I can't/won't eat it, normally I don't cook it BUT I do not expect them to adhere to my diet. If they want something that I don't eat, I just make sure to have plenty of veggies; either way, I can always pick the meat out of the dish for my protein. I can't eat enough of any one thing that I feel they need to eat according to me...if I make spaghetti and meat sauce, I just eat the meat sauce with whatever veggie I cook instead of the pasta. The hubby loves rice and gravy, so I cook it, but I just eat the meat and veggies for that. I refuse to cook two seperate meals - one for me, one for them. I do still buy chips for the family - they eat sandwiches a lot, but EVERYTHING is measured...I usually will get ziplocs and measure out 1 oz into each bag...then it's not just a free for all in the huge bag of chips. The biggest change is that I don't bake as much as I used to...baking/cooking is my "outlet". When I bake now, I only keep a small amount and the rest I give away. I don't keep soft drinks in the house, we drink lots of tea, fruit juice, milk, and water - I've kinda always been like that - too much sugar in the soft drinks and the diet ones...don't want the aspartame. There are definitely ways to cook without making it seem like you are forcing the family to eat your diet, but it still be something you can eat.
  6. You look wonderful!!! So pretty!!
  7. O M G!!! PAAAHAHAHA!!

  12. Happy Veterans Day to you!! Can't wait to see your progress!
  13. I know, the movies are never as good. I own every book in the Plum series - even the between the numbers ones - LOVE them. You would prolly like her other books though. I love her sense of humor and she writes the same in all of them.
  14. YES!! You are not alone. I'm only 2 1/2 months out but I fight the head stuff all the time. I find exercising makes me feel soooo much better though. Try to get back to it. It helps and it will help the scale to move downwards. Wishing you success.
  15. Usually between 50-80 grams a day...what'd your NUT tell you?
  16. I know!!! Lulu is a trip! Have you ever read any of her other books? "The Heist" is good too.
  17. Ahhh gotcha. Well I agree, not as much fun, but get the batteries anyway ;-P
  18. I've heard it numerous times...I'm 5'10" and carried it well...or so I've been told...but I was HUGE!!! I was miserable - still am somewhat miserable and I've lost 46 lbs. WLS is about what we want for OURSELVES. I feel sooo much better physically. I think people may not want to offend/hurt our feelings and that's why they say things like that.
  19. ME TOO!!!
  20. What happened to the man you were hangin with??
  21. Imma hafta go see what y'all are talking about! I can't on my phone!
  22. This has been me...especially this past week!!! So irritable...I MISS just being able to eat for comfort... So hard sometimes...I know, I know it's not a good thing to miss, but it's there. I talk to my hubby about all of it, and he listens and tries to understand but really can't...I mean, until you've been there, how can you?? I guess I foolishly thought it would all just be well and I would be fine - no issues, no bothers...and ya crazy...I've lost 46 lbs and physically feel amazing BUT still am struggling with this. Thanks for letting me know I'm not alone...that's reassuring
  23. Girl I am right there with you!! I'm counting down the days for book 20!!
